Zum Tag der Sonne 2025 wurde im Rahmen eines internen Treffens die Juche-Studiengruppe des Deutsches Regionalkomitees offiziell gegründet. Anlass war der Wunsch, die bisherige theoretische Auseinandersetzung mit der Ideologie des Präsidenten Kim Il Sung auf eine verlässlichere organisatorische Grundlage zu stellen.
