The word has already spread that the Korean Peninsula is currently experiencing a large-scale natural disaster.

As the result of floods, more than 730 one-story residential buildings, 179 other residential buildings and rice fields covering an area of ​​more than 600 'chonbo', were destroyed. And the list of damages and losses does not stop here. And this is the situation in Unpha County, North Hwanghe Province alone. Most obviously, a dangerous situation has emerged, fraught with humanitarian disaster.

Regarding this situation, the DPRK International Solidarity Group has urgently begun preparations for providing humanitarian assistance to the People's Republic on the 9th of August. On the 12th of August, the Coordination Committee decided to launch a large fundraising campaign.

Dear comrades! Dear compatriots abroad! We appeal to all caring people of the world!

At this very moment, the soldiers of the Korean People's Army have already opened up a wide front of reconstruction work, and the Workers' Party of Korea, in accordance with the personal order of the Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un, has sent trucks with food to Unpha County. However, due to the draconian sanctions and pressure that the DPRK has been subjected to for many years, as well as due to the difficult anti-epidemic situation in Kaesong City, we seriously fear that the latest floods could lead to very serious damage

Our organization calls on all friendly parties, political forces and organizations to take part in this humanitarian aid campaign. We call on all progressive internationalists to provide financial assistance to the Korean people so that neither blockade, nor sanctions, nor natural disasters will be able block the path of socialist construction!

Upon completion of the humanitarian campaign, the chairman of the Coordination Committee of our Group will personally transfer all funds raised to the Embassy of the DPRK in the Russian Federation, indicating all parties, organizations and individuals who have provided financial assistance to Korea.
