— 9th (1st Extraordinary) Organizing Conference: Third Day —

The second meeting of the Student Friendship Club with the DPRK at Chelyabinsk State University was held on May 2. The event was held as part of the third day of the 9th (1st Extraordinary) Organizing Conference of the DPRK ISG and was dedicated to the past Day of the Sun — the greatest national holiday of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, the birthday of President Kim Il Sung.

The event was widely covered by Russian and foreign media.

Comrade Evgenia Olskaya, head of the Club, opened the meeting with a heartfelt speech:

“Dear comrades, hello! We are very glad to see you at the second meeting of our Friendship Club! Today's event is dedicated to the outstanding leader and father of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea — Kim Il Sung.

Every year in April, the Korean people celebrate the Day of the Sun - the birthday of Comrade Kim Il Sung - the greatest national holiday.

With great longing for their native leader Kim Il Sung, Koreans visit the Kumsusan Palace of the Sun, as well as His bronze statues, and pay tribute to the highest respect. In the capital and other parts of the country, ceremonial meetings and assemblies are held, art performances and other cultural events are held.

Traces of Comrade Kim Il Sung's leadership have been left in all corners of the country. He is a truly great and wise ruler who sincerely loved his people and served for the good of his fatherland.
In honor of this holiday, we want to perform the Shaman's song "Let's Get Up", kindly translated into Korean by our activist - Olesya Zelenskaya. This song raises the theme of gratitude and memory of the heroes of the fatherland. So the Korean people are grateful to their leader Kim Il Sung and keep the eternal memory of Him."

Activists Olesya Zelenskaya, Victoria Atyanina and Evgeniya Olskaya performed the song "Vstanem" in Russian and Korean versions, symbolizing friendship and mutual understanding between the peoples of our countries.

The event participants were also able to try on traditional DPRK clothing - chosonot, get acquainted with the Korean card game and immerse themselves in the atmosphere of cultural exchange.

Activist Victoria Atyanina presented a report on the biography of Comrade Kim Il Sung, especially noting his youthful revolutionary activities, the fight against Japanese imperialism, participation in the partisan movement and the creation of the armed forces of Korea.

Next, activist Sofia Bayandina spoke with a report on the formation of the DPRK and the ideology of Juche. Her speech covered the path of Comrade Kim Il Sung from leading the Provisional People's Committee to building a sovereign socialist state based on national independence and self-sufficiency.

Activist Evgeny Radobolsky concluded the series of speeches with a detailed analysis of the political activities of the Eternal President:

After the speeches, the participants and guests of the club took commemorative photos. The activists played traditional Korean cards and had an informal conversation with those present. The meeting ended with a word of thanks from Comrade Evgenia Olskaya, who thanked everyone for their interest and participation.

The event was also attended by representatives of the Ural Student Anti-Fascist Front (SAF) and the JoJack Movement, who expressed solidarity with the struggling people of the DPRK and highly appreciated the club's contribution to the anti-imperialist education of students.
