— Statement by the Vice President of the DPRK ISG in Connection with the Attack on Venezuela —

On January 4, the President of the International Association of Peace Funds (IAPF) and Vice President of the DPRK International Solidarity Group (DPRK ISG) Comrade Sergey Nikolaevich Baburin issued a statement in connection with the unprecedented attack by the United States on Venezuela. The statement was published immediately after the completion of a working visit to the Islamic Republic of Iran.

It is not surprising that the United States has accused all leaders of Venezuela of being participants in the drug business, and threatened the leaders of Colombia and Mexico, who expressed outrage at the US aggression against Venezuela, that they too are drug dealers. A universal, albeit false, label allows for the justification of any arbitrary action.

And what about the disturbances in Iran, painstakingly but ineffectively organized by the West? Scorning their theatricality and false mass character, the White House, already traditionally scorning Congress, is forming a pretext for its next intervention.

The next target for D. Trump after Venezuela could be Iran, Nicaragua, Cuba, and even Denmark because of Greenland. It is no accident that The Guardian predicts that Iran should be the most cautious, as the media stirs up passions around the "escalation" of mass protests. Almost until the start of the disturbances, Trump publicly supported the demonstrators and even promised to intervene with force if necessary. How – was shown in Venezuela. However, now all countries that have resources desirable to the United States in one way or another will be on guard.

The leadership of Iran has many reasons to believe that anti-government actions are organized from abroad. It is noteworthy that as illustrations of the mass character of the anti-government demonstrations in Iran, the same photos and footage from the official holiday mass events are shown, taken from the website of the President of Iran, many of which took place before my eyes.
