A banquet for the commanding officers and fighters of the Korean People's Army (KPA) Overseas Operation Units and the bereaved families of fallen soldiers was held at the Mokran House.

The banquet hall was filled with the boundless excitement, joy, and passion of the commanding officers and fighters who, embraced by the bosom of the motherland they had longed for even in their dreams, the bosom of the great Commander, are enjoying the high honor and happiness of life.

Leading officials of the Party Central Committee and major commanding officers of the Ministry of National Defence shared the meaningful occasion with the commanding officers and fighters of the KPA Overseas Operation Units and the bereaved families of the fallen soldiers who participated in the operation.

There was a speech by Comrade Pak Jong Chon, Vice Chairman of the Central Military Commission of the Workers' Party of Korea and Secretary of the Party Central Committee, at the banquet.

The speaker noted that our service personnel literally wrote an imperishable combat record with their blood on the decisive battlefields for defending the absolute authority of the Party Central Committee and the dignity and honor of our state and the name and tradition of our army, and that they created a new great history of the KPA with combat courage and legendary military feats that put heroic tales in the history of human warfare into the shade, and inscribed a glorious new page in letters of gold in the history of victories of our state.

The speaker stressed that our revolutionary armed forces would always emerge victorious in the sacred war to be continued, taking the brilliant heroic war history of the veterans as an example, and that all our divisions and brigades, regiments and battalions and all the service personnel of the KPA would courageously advance, treading the path of certain victory prepared by them.

The commanding officers and fighters of the KPA Overseas Operation Units made a firm pledge to keep the trust and love of our Party as the bloodline of their destiny and wings of bravery and to staunchly glorify the dignity and honor of the KPA with the costly military merits of our generation in the militant course of pioneering a new phase of building a prosperous and powerful country.
