Amidst the unfolding of dynamic scenes showcasing the steadfast transformative appearance of socialist Korea across every corner of the country, upheld by the ardent desire of the great Party Central Committee, local industry factories have also been completed in Hwangju County, North Hwanghae Province.

With modern light industry factories now rising in Hwangju County, famous as a granary, in step with the new era where the past and present of the localities form a clear contrast and are being transformed, it has become possible to actively promote the regional economic development and the improvement of the welfare of the county residents.

The completion ceremony for the Hwangju County local industry factory under the "20×10 Policy for Local Development" was held on the 16th.

The completion ceremony site was overflowing with the great joy of the local people who are enjoying a blessed life in their hometown, flourishing year after year thanks to the benevolence of the great parent, and the boundless pride and self-respect of the factory workers who have become the masters of the modernly equipped new workplace.

Leading officials of the Party, government and armed forces organs, members of the Party Central leading institutions in Pyongyang, provincial Party secretaries, officials of North Hwanghae Province and Hwangju County, working people, and soldiers of the construction units participated in the ceremony.

Comrade Ri Il Hwan, Secretary of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, made the completion address.

The speaker said that while embracing the first fruits of the local industry revolution with excitement, light industry bases, which every resident of Hwangju County had believed in and awaited since the stirring spring of this year, have risen up embracing an ever more splendid appearance. He stated that the county has now laid a solid foundation to amply produce daily necessities and special products bearing its own local brand, enabling it to more powerfully propel the work for improving the lives of the people in the region and for economic development.

He extended enthusiastic congratulations to all the people in the county who are joyfully envisioning the future of their hometown becoming civilized and prosperous, celebrating the completion of the new factories, and to the soldier-builders who contributed to the realization of the Party's local development policy.

He said that thanks to the energetic leadership of Comrade Kim Jong Un, who prioritized the construction projects for the local people and meticulously guided to achieve new pioneering and development in all aspects, including design, construction and production technology, Hwangju County too has greeted the great auspicious event of concluding construction and completing the project within the year of its groundbreaking.

He emphasized that the modernly risen local industry factories are the noble crystallization of the original ideas and devotion of Comrade Kim Jong Un, who possesses a burning love for the people and is unfolding an era of epochal transformation, bestowing a happy new life upon the local people through profound contemplation and energetic leadership.

Stating that the comprehensive change of the localities is truly a sacred task for all Party members and builders, the speaker ardently called upon everyone to struggle vigorously for the historic cause of local transformation led by the great Comrade Kim Jong Un.

Amidst the powerful eruption of the passion of the working people who will enjoy full happiness in their hometown transformed more beautifully in the new era of all-round development, Comrades Jo Yong Won and Ri Il Hwan, Secretaries of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, and Comrade No Kwang Chol, Minister of National Defense of the DPRK, cut the completion tape.

Celebratory fireworks burst forth and numerous balloons flew up, beautifully decorating the December sky over the completion ceremony site which had become a sea of flowers of joy, embodying the people's absolute trust in the great Party Central Committee.

Following the ceremony, the leading officials of the Party, government and armed forces organs toured the factories together with the participants.

The people of Hwangju County could not contain their joy upon seeing various basic foodstuffs, confectioneries, daily necessities and clothing being produced under their county's own brands "Kŭndŏngbŏl" and "Hwangju Ch'ŏn" at the modern local industry factories.

Thak Chol Hyok, Chairman of the Hwangju County People's Committee, said that a noble creation and precious asset representing the new era of local transformation has now risen in his hometown as well, and respectfully expressed words of gratitude to the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un who unfailingly provides the season for the completion of splendid factories awaited and welcomed by all local people every year.

He said that he will fulfill his assigned responsibility to normalize production, fully guarantee the county's demand, firmly grip quality improvement as a lifeline, devote effort to the work of developing and producing more special products preferred by the people, so that the modern local industry factories firmly take root as a reliable bulwark and substantial capital for improving the people's livelihood.

The faces of the residents, rejoicing that what they had seen with envy—people buying and liking products from newly built local industry factories on TV and in newspapers—has now become reality for them too, were in full bloom with smiles.

Comrades Yun Hyon Il and Ryang Yong Suk, women living in the Ŭp district of Hwangju County, opened their hearts, saying that it is the consistent mind of all women in the county to never forget for a moment the ever-growing benevolence of the motherly Party and to seek to do more good deeds for the country and the people.

Pak Kwang Myong, manager of the Samjŏn Farm, upon seeing various confectioneries including the county's specialty fruit jellies, basic foodstuffs, and various quality consumer goods, said he engraved once again the sublime intention of the Party to provide a more affluent living environment for the local people, and expressed his resolution to hold high the pride of being the master of the increasingly prosperous socialist countryside, pile up high the granaries of bumper harvests every year, and faithfully uphold our Party with rice.

Ri Hyon Suk, workteam head of the County Foodstuff Factory, said that she is now able to fully blossom the worth of labor at the modern and cultured new workplace, and stated that she will produce more quality products favored by the people so that the love and affection of our Party reach the residents as they are.

Seeing the bright appearances of the people of Hwangju County blooming with smiles of happiness, the leading officials of the Party, government and armed forces organs deeply felt once again the greatness, truthfulness and tremendous vitality of the original state construction idea of Comrade Kim Jong Un, which equates local development with the comprehensive revival of the country, and steeled their will to faithfully uphold the leadership of the Party Central Committee with all their heart and soul.

In the evening of that day, celebratory fireworks were fired to mark the completion of the local industry factories.
