Comrade Pak Pong Ju Inspects Western Coastal Tideland under Reclaiming


Pak Pong Ju, member of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, vice-chairman of the State Affairs Commission of the DPRK and vice-chairman of the WPK Central Committee, inspected the western coastal tideland under reclamation.

At the Kumsong Tideland, he underlined the need to secure area of cropland to the maximum and concentrate efforts on safe farming on the reclaimed land. He called for stepping up the construction of embankment as the first-phase dam has been completed in the reclamation of the Ansok Tideland.

Inspecting different tidelands in Jungsan and Phyongwon counties of South Phyongan Province, he stressed the need to push ahead with the tideland reclamation as planned to be followed by the building of setups in the reclaimed tideland for farming.

He also acquainted himself with cultivation of new land in Phyongwon County and stressed the need to intensify Party guidance so as to prevent flaw.
