Congratulatory Performance Held for Commanding Officers and Soldiers of Overseas Operation Units of the Korean People's Army

A congratulatory performance for the commanding officers and soldiers of the overseas operation units of the Korean People's Army (KPA), who set up immortal feats of arms in the sacred struggle for defending the dignity and honor of our powerful motherland, was grandly held at the April 25 House of Culture.

The venue of the performance was filled with the ardent feelings of boundless respect and enthusiastic praise for the war veterans who fully displayed the unique ideological and mental superiority, matchless bravery and heroic spirit of sacrifice absolutely loyal to the leadership of the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK), and fully demonstrated the mettle of Koreans who never yield to injustice and always win if they fight and the immortal reputation of our army to the whole world.

The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un, General Secretary of the WPK and president of the State Affairs of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, watched the performance together with the commanding officers and soldiers of the overseas operation units.

The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un, upon his arrival at the performance venue, laid a floral basket before the memorial wall erected in the central hall and paid lofty tribute to the fallen war heroes who are immortalized as eternal stars in the memory of the country and people.

Among the audience were bereaved families of the fallen war heroes, officials of the WPK Central Committee, commanding members of the Ministry of National Defense, military and political commanding officers of the KPA combined large units, officials of ministries, national agencies and the Pyongyang Municipality, and working people.

The numbers, pulsating with the ardent spirit of loyalty and patriotism of the heroes who unsparingly dedicated their precious lives for the sake of the great our Party, the eternal prosperity and mightiness of the great our state and the well-being and happiness of the great our people, highly praised that the brilliant successes made by the KPA which shocked the world are the precious fruits of the great ideological war, the noble tradition of the Korean revolution which has been pioneered and victorious by dint of ideology.

The participants were filled with sublime emotion while watching a video footage conveying the feats of the brave men who proved the truth that peace can be defended only by absolute strength and that the representative of justice must possess an invincible force to decisively sweep away all sorts of injustices through the unprecedented combat myth of miracle, and showed through their heroic choice what kind of life a soldier of the KPA should live for the country and what he should leave behind before the country.

When the songs remembering the war veterans "Stars of the Motherland", "We Will Remember" and "Only Victory" resounded, all the audience warmly embraced in their hearts the indomitable images of the brave men who ardently loved their motherland, devoted their bodies as heedlessly as a blade of grass before the call of the country and struck terror into the enemies with mass heroism and spirit of self-sacrifice never seen or heard of in any other army of the world.

The performance, pulsating with the iron-clad faith and indomitable spirit of the KPA service personnel who would steadily continue to write the proud heroic epic for all generations by further sublimating the heroic spirit of the army-building generation and the generation of victory to a higher level in the new era of building a powerful army in which our revolutionary armed forces are demonstrating the heyday of their development, was highly acclaimed by the audience.

At the end of the performance, the venue again resounded with enthusiastic cheers of hurrah for the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un.
