The Future of Powerful Korea Brightens Under the Motherly Party’s Childcare Policy

Establishment of Dozens of New/Expanded Dairy Goat Farms Nationwide; Milk Production and Supply Systems Established in All Cities and Counties Over Past Four Years

Four years have passed since childcare policy for our posterity—the pride and hope of socialist Korea—was discussed and decided as the paramount policy at the historic 3rd Plenary Meeting of the 8th Party Central Committee.

Holding high the great Party Central Committee’s noble intention, officials and workers nationwide devotedly strived, establishing over a hundred new or expanded dairy cattle and goat farms, setting up milk processing workshops and milk production rooms in all cities and counties, establishing an orderly production and supply system to provide children with highly nutritious dairy products.

The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un stated:

"The work for our posterity is our Party’s most important undertaking."

The past four years since this paramount policy was presented prove through reality that our Party and state’s unchanging policies and measures—considering children’s bright laughter the absolute standard for national strength and sparing no expense for posterity—continue and intensify.

At the 3rd Plenary Meeting of the 8th WPK Central Committee, the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un clarified crucial tasks for our motherland’s more prosperous tomorrow. His words that day—"Nothing is more important than robustly nurturing the children, our motherland’s future; building improved nurturing conditions even at enormous cost is our Party and state’s paramount policy and highest aspiration"—deeply re-engraved in all Party members and workers nationwide the truth that advancing firmly toward the communist future with the power of love for posterity must be our revolution’s mode of advance and development.

In his historic policy speech at the 5th Session of the 14th Supreme People’s Assembly and his programmatic letter to participants of the 9th Congress of the Union of Agricultural Workers of Korea, the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un re-emphasized decisively increasing milk production, developing milk processing technology, and thoroughly ensuring dairy product quality. He personally calculated nationwide nursery/kindergarten children’s daily milk needs and took special measures to secure milk powder for children.

Under the motherly Party’s warm benevolence, the production and supply system for children’s nutritional foods became more orderly. At the 6th Session of the 14th SPA in February 2022, the DPRK Childcare Law was adopted, stipulating regular, free supply of dairy products and nutritional foods to all children and ensuring excellent nurturing conditions.

Accordingly, milk supply cards were issued to children nationwide, and milk supply logs appeared at nurseries, kindergartens, and ri(town/district/dong) offices.

With fiery zeal to thoroughly implement the Party’s childcare policy without the slightest lapse, officials and workers from the Agricultural Committee, Commerce Ministry, local livestock sectors, and dairy production/supply units sprang into action.

Officials and scientists from the State Academy of Sciences, Academy of Agricultural Sciences, and relevant units urgently organized nationwide technical workshops and demonstrations to solve sci-tech problems in increasing dairy cattle/goat numbers, milk production, and pasture creation, advancing this work substantively yearly.

Many regions and units established large-scale dairy cattle/goat farms in livestock-favorable areas and pushed construction powerfully under concrete plans for reconstructing/expanding existing farms, accompanied by architectural design, labor, and material supply measures.

To splendidly unfold our Party’s noble intention for posterity, construction workers in relevant regions/units solved foundation work and massive earthwork in short periods with unyielding struggle spirit, strictly adhering to design and technical requirements to successfully complete assigned farm construction.

Moreover, they splendidly equipped facilities and equipment essential for breeding management and dairy production—cattle/goat pens, milking parlors, milk processing rooms, feed processing rooms—and diligently planted quality fruit trees and grass to renew appearances.

Through this, over a hundred dairy cattle/goat farms—including the South Pyongan Provincial Rural Economy Committee’s Hutan Dairy Farm, North Hwanghae Provincial Rural Economy Committee’s Hwangju Dairy Farm, Wonsan Dairy Farm, Taean Dairy Farm, and Sinuiju Youth Goat Farm—were newly established or expanded/reconstructed. Production equipment, including vacuum concentrators, became more complete, laying solid foundations for producing more high-quality dairy products.

Struggles to produce quality dairy products with local strength and technology for local children unfolded powerfully.

North Pyongan, Jagang, and North Hamgyong Provinces tenaciously advanced work to create pastures in geologically favorable areas, expanding grassland area.

Numerous units—including the Pyongyang City Rural Economy Committee’s Kubin Livestock Farm and Songgum Livestock Farm, South Hamgyong Provincial Rural Economy Committee’s Hungsang Dairy Farm, and Hamju County’s Pyongphungdok Goat Farm—grasped the four key links of livestock development to gradually raise dairy cattle/goat numbers and milk production.

Through devoted struggle by officials and workers who sprang into the ideological implementation battle and Party policy defense battle, nationwide pasture area increased significantly compared to 2021, and milkable dairy cattle/goat numbers rose substantially, enabling sustained dairy production growth.

Dairy production/supply units nationwide also achieved clear results in improving dairy product quality/quantity and erecting storage facilities.

Several production units, including the Pyongyang Children’s Food Factory, actively created and introduced advanced technical innovations, establishing sterilization processes to ensure aseptic fresh milk production. By improving/strengthening milk processing, sterilization, and storage and enhancing analytical lab roles, they daily supplied quality-guaranteed dairy products to relevant units.

The Pyongsong City Nursery/Kindergarten Supply Office and Kanggye City Nursery/Kindergarten Supply Office powerfully advanced work to build large dairy storage warehouses and well-equip dairy supply rooms, achieving results.

Amidst lively work to strengthen production foundations, dairy processing workshops and milk production rooms were newly established in all cities/counties and thousands of units nationwide. Equipment like spray-dried milk powder production facilities and fresh milk production lines were provided, ensuring normal sanitary and safe dairy supply to children.

In North Pyongan, Jagang, and Ryanggang Provinces—areas damaged by last year’s sudden flooding after the maximum emergency epidemic prevention period—the dairy supply system was urgently restored, and supply continued uninterrupted.

Officials at all Party and government levels fulfilled responsibility and duty in dairy supply work for local orphanages, nurseries, and kindergartens during maximum emergency epidemic prevention, upholding the Party’s noble intention that supply must not halt even one day.

Officials from the Kanggye City and Sinuiju City Nursery/Kindergarten Supply Offices and other affected areas rushed dairy products—tightly wrapped in rain covers—in backpacks to every corner, supplying all children.

The dream-like reality of affected children receiving dairy products per quota while studying/living at the 4.25 Hotel and moving into splendid new homes arranged by the Party and government was a loving scene possible only under our country’s socialist system.

Moreover, nationwide hospitals established dairy supply times for hospitalized children, and uninterrupted supply continued to children unable to attend nurseries/kindergartens during vacations.

Seeing our children grow brighter and more cheerful, the entire people engrave with heartfelt emotion the world of warm love from the great Party Central Committee that only deepens with time, and humbly offer thanks.

Truly, because the respected Marshal Kim Jong Un, our beloved father—holding the noble ideal that before and above the people upheld like heaven stand our children—embraces our motherland’s bright future with endless love and devotion for posterity, the laughter of blessed children and the song "Nothing to Envy in the World" will endlessly echo across this land as the immortal hymn of Juche Korea.

The Invincible Might of DPRK-Russia Alliance Will Be More Powerfully Displayed

As the solidity and invincibility of Korea-Russia friendly unity become more evident, the two countries meaningfully mark the first anniversary of the treaty on comprehensive strategic partnership.

Comrade Kim Jong Un, president of the State Affairs of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, and Comrade Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin, president of the Russian Federation, held a historic meeting in Pyongyang on June 19, 2024, signing the "Treaty on Comprehensive Strategic Partnership between the DPRK and the Russian Federation," opening a new chapter in Korea-Russia friendly relations.

The elevation of traditional Korea-Russia friendship into a genuine alliance based on the shared ideal of realizing independence and justice, and the establishment of a reliable guarantee for bilateral relations development, are brilliant fruits borne by the foresight and outstanding leadership of Comrade Kim Jong Un and Comrade Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin.

The treaty’s signing established a powerful legal framework to firmly guarantee the future of bilateral relations amid any challenges and difficulties. This is an unprecedented event in the nearly 80-year history of Korea-Russia relations and a historic occasion both peoples can proudly boast of.

The 365 days since the treaty’s signing have fully attested to the vitality of the interstate treaty and the accelerated development of bilateral relations.

Since the new treaty’s signing, bilateral ties and cooperation in various fields have grown closer and expanded. High-level delegation exchanges have intensified, and prospective projects to strengthen multifaceted exchanges and cooperation are extensively unfolding. Intergovernmental trade-economic and sci-tech exchange/cooperation promotion work is broadening and diversifying continuously; communication in economics, diplomacy, education, healthcare, arts, and other fields is unprecedentedly strengthened; and mutual visits are actively pursued.

The DPRK-Russia border automobile bridge construction, launched in April under both governments’ deep concern and expectations, adds momentum to growing Korea-Russia friendly cooperation by building/strengthening important economic cooperation infrastructure and laying practical foundations for more active bilateral cooperation.

The participation of DPRK armed forces combat units in the Kursk region liberation operation, watched by the whole world, became the most exemplary practice of the comprehensive strategic partnership treaty, fully demonstrating the might of both armed forces and the absolute solidity of alliance relations.

The excellent sons of the Korean people regarded Russian territory as their motherland and Russian people as blood brothers under the supreme commander’s order, displaying matchless heroism and sacrifice on fierce battlefields. The complete liberation of the Kursk region through Korea-Russia combined military operations clearly proved the certain victory and invincibility of Korea-Russia alliance relations—further cemented as a strategic bulwark defending justice and peace—and the spirit of genuine unity, cooperation, and true internationalist loyalty.

Korea-Russia relations based on the comprehensive strategic partnership treaty serve as a powerful security safeguard easing regional situations and ensuring global strategic stability, becoming a strong driving force establishing a fair, multipolar new international order and opening humanity’s bright prospects.

The firm will and wise guidance of both heads of state to further solidify the foundations of Korea-Russia friendly and strategic cooperative relations on full development track, and safeguard regional/global peace and international justice, are fundamental factors protecting their interests and bringing prosperity.

Deepening militant friendship to achieve shared prosperity and well-being is the unwavering stance of both peoples, feeling the vitality of friendly/alliance relations displayed in the struggle to end imperialist hegemony, threats, and blackmail, and defend peace, stability, and national interests.

Upholding the noble intentions of both leaders to further propel the development of bilateral strategic relations, the new interstate treaty will more fully display its vitality and might, and the path of both peoples will always be filled with victory and glory.

Social Science Sector Research Seminar Marks 30th Anniversary of Great Leader Kim Jong Il’s Immortal Classic Work "Giving Priority to Ideological Work is Essential for Accomplishing the Socialist Cause"

A social science sector research seminar commemorating the 30th anniversary of the Great Leader Comrade Kim Jong Il’s immortal classic work "Giving Priority to Ideological Work is Essential for Accomplishing the Socialist Cause" was held on the 18th.

Attended by Comrade Tae Hyong Chol, president of the Social Sciences Academy, officials from science/education sectors and Party cadre training institutions, educators, and researchers.

Speeches at the seminar deeply explained the historic significance and eternal vitality of the Great Leader Comrade Kim Jong Il’s immortal classic work, and the immortal revolutionary feats of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un, guiding our revolution to victory through ideological power. Papers were presented by Comrade Jo Kwang Chol of the People’s Economy University Faculty, Comrade Kim Ung Gol of the WPK Central Cadres School, Comrade Kim Ho Song of Kim Il Sung University, and Comrade Han Myong Hwan of the Social Sciences Academy.

Presenters argued that the Great General’s immortal classic work is a programmatic document illuminating the path to achieve dynamic socialist construction development through ideological power. The work concretely specifies the basic tasks, content, principles, and methods of ideological work—key contents for arming Party members and workers with our Party’s revolutionary ideology—and theoretical-practical issues in maximizing ideological power.

Through the Great General’s exceptional ideological-theoretical foresight, the principles and methods of ideological work in socialist society were comprehensively and perfectly clarified, providing an ideological-theoretical weapon to constantly improve Party ideological work and enhance the WPK’s combat function and role as the revolution’s staff headquarters and leading political organization.

Presenters explained that the Juche-based ideological theory—that ideology is fundamental in revolution and construction, and grasping ideology enables achieving anything—is the WPK’s eternal revolutionary leadership principle and political philosophy.

Under the Party’s wise leadership, our revolutionary ranks have matured into an invincible entity ideologically pure, organizationally solid, and ensuring perfect unity in action. Our Party has always prioritized mobilizing the people’s spiritual strength at every stage of revolutionary development, creating a proud history of reversing trials and difficulties into miracles and transformations through ideological power.

Presenters stressed that the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un is an outstanding statesman unleashing the people’s spiritual strength to open the great era of transformation. His sacred revolutionary chronicles contain vivid records of sleepless efforts to open a new era in revolutionary ideological arming, nurturing our people into powerful protagonists of socialist construction living and struggling with the revolutionary faith, grit, and will of the forerunners—strong masters of spiritual power.

The past decade’s struggle process—advancing united in heart around the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un—clearly proved the truth that revolution and construction advance as ideological fronts surge, and miracles and innovations occur as the masses’ spiritual strength rises.

Under the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un’s wise guidance, our Party, state, and people today shine with glory as an invincible Party, powerful state, and great people—strong in ideology, advancing through ideological power, and victorious.

The miraculous reality where new-era local development policy entities unfold successively as visible realities (where "commencement means completion" applies), new streets and residences enabling people to enjoy new life and civilization rise like bamboo shoots across the motherland—are precious fruits borne by the energetic leadership of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un, invariably implementing the Juche-based ideological theory in revolutionary leadership practice.

Presenters mentioned upholding the banner of ideology-first principle to further accelerate comprehensive national rejuvenation. They stated all social scientists must awaken to their noble mission and duty as pioneers and guides upholding the Party’s cause, produce more valuable social science research results, and devote wisdom and passion to the struggle for the motherland’s prosperity. They emphasized more forcefully developing theoretical propaganda activities to arm all people with the great Party Central Committee’s revolutionary ideology, maximizing the penetration, influence, and traction of the Party’s ideological theory, and writing more fresh, novel texts with strong truthfulness and appeal.
