Kim Tok Hun, member of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea and premier of the Cabinet of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, inspected several units in the eastern area of the country. He went round the Sinhong Dam and a generator room of the Tanchon Power Station No. 5. Learning in detail about the assembly of generating equipment and the power transmission system, he gave a pep-talk to the builders waging staunch campaign to carry out the decisions made at the 8th Congress of the Party and the 2nd Plenary Meeting of the 8th Central Committee of the Party, and called for thoroughly ensuring scientific accuracy and safety in preparing for a trial operation of the generator and scrupulously managing hydraulic structure. Making rounds of the Nitrogen Shop No. 2 and a site for assembling a new generator at the Hungnam Fertilizer Complex, he stressed the need to concentrate all efforts on perfecting the production processes in a more scientific way on the principle of thoroughly putting the fertilizer industry on a Juche basis, and to fully meet the requirement of design and construction standard in the project of expanding capacity. Measures discussed at the field consultative meetings included correct assignment of tasks to relevant units to attain without fail the stepwise goals for implementing the decisions made at the Party's congress and the scrupulous and revolutionary operation and guidance. The meetings also discussed the measure for the relevant sectors to ensure the timely supply of products under contract. The premier visited the Chonnaeri Cement Factory where he acquainted himself with its foundation for production and the expansion of production capacity. He also inspected several co-op farms in Hamju, Jongphyong and Kowon counties and the Organic Compound Fertilizer Factory to learn about the preparations for springtime farming and push for relevant measures.
