At the production sites of the Yongyu Mine and the Jungsan Mine, he stressed the need to properly choose mining fields, increase the mineral production and steadily increase the rate of actual extraction from concentrates by further perfecting the flotation process in a sci-tech manner.

The field consultative meetings called upon officials to thoroughly carry out the first-year tasks of the new five-year plan as scheduled by scrupulously organizing the economic operation and command. Sci-tech issues arising in boosting production on the principle of using locally available raw and other materials were also discussed.
