Historical Facts Expose Aggressors’ True Nature

Viewing Exhibits in the War Provocation Hall of the Victorious Fatherland Liberation War Museum

As June 25 approaches—the day war clouds rolled over this land—crowds surge more intensely toward the Victorious Fatherland Liberation War Museum. While every hall moves visitors, they linger longest in the War Provocation Hall, which clearly shows how the resentful June 25 was engraved here. Countless materials and relics irrefutably prove who forced the war inflicting incalculable misfortune and pain.

The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un said:

"For our people, just liberated from Japanese colonial rule, and our Republic, founded barely two years earlier, the Fatherland Liberation War was truly an arduous war and a life-or-death battle deciding the homeland’s destiny."

One exhibit astonishes all visitors: statistics on U.S. armed provocations against our Republic before the war’s outbreak.

1947: 454 times

1948: 932 times

1949: 2,617 times

1950 (until June): 1,147 times

Total: 5,150 times

As shown, armed provocations against our Republic, beginning in earnest in 1947, more than doubled the following year. On a front where opposing ideologies and systems directly confront, even minor provocations can escalate to full war. Thus, over 5,000 armed provocations in just 3.5 years starkly expose U.S. imperialists’ frenzied efforts to ignite war against our Republic.

Visitors see documents revealing why U.S. imperialists schemed so viciously to provoke the Korean War. An editorial from U.S. newspaper The Oregon Journal states:

"The Korean Peninsula, a projection of the Asian continent, becomes a bridgehead for almost all activities in the Pacific. Korea’s strategic importance led the U.S. to advance into Korea during and after World War II."

Post-WWII, the Korean Peninsula was a geographic pivot—a "stepping stone" and forward base for U.S. aggression in Asia. Thus, from day one in Korea, U.S. imperialists aimed to dominate the entire peninsula as key to world hegemony. They adopted war to colonize our Republic as their core Korea policy, deeming it the only effective means to overthrow our people’s democratic system and re-enslave our people. Hence, the Korean War was "urgently needed" for U.S. imperialists rabidly pursuing world domination.

Photos and documents display how U.S. imperialists, after occupying south Korea, frenetically created and expanded the "Defense Command" under "Military Government Ordinance No. 28" in November 1945, followed by the "Coast Guard," and established the "Military English School" and "Naval Academy" to train officers for troop expansion. They needed cannon fodder—a puppet colonial army—for their planned war.

Documents also reveal massive U.S. military aid to arm the south Korean army. A July 30, 1949, letter from U.S. Ambassador to Korea Muccio to Syngman Rhee states the U.S. provided vast military supplies in July alone, including over 1.11 million shells of 22 types.

By 1948, U.S.-created south Korean forces included land, sea, air, and marine units—over 107,000 troops armed with modern weapons. Additionally, 200,000 youth were drafted into the paramilitary "Youth Defense Corps." By spring 1950, U.S. imperialists achieved their goal of 400,000 troops. Foreign media then exposed U.S. troop buildup aimed at ensuring "10:1 superiority" over our Republic’s forces—solely to guarantee aggression.

While augmenting forces, U.S. imperialists launched large-scale armed provocations against our Republic from 1947. Visitors angrily view materials proving these weren’t accidental clashes but test wars under direct U.S. command to validate combat readiness and secure tactical footholds for full-scale aggression. These include: DPRK Ministry of Internal Affairs reports condemning provocations; photos of U.S. military advisors driving south Korean forces into aggression; photos of captured invaders; weapons seized by Korean People’s Security Force soldiers annihilating aggressors.

Moreover, U.S. confessions exist. On August 2, 1949, U.S. Military Advisory Group chief told south Korean division commanders:

"My deputy and I ... firmly believe all disputes were instigated by Korea’s security forces."

Constant clouds bring rain. On June 25, 1950, after incessant armed provocations, the enemy ignited aggressive war.

U.S. imperialists obsessively schemed to conceal their aggression and shift war blame until the last moment. Widely known deceptions include: setting the invasion date for a Sunday; falsely announcing a June 13 "preparatory martial law" lifted on June 24; claiming most south Korean troops were "on leave"; fabricating a Seoul "dance party" attended by all frontline division commanders; and staging U.S. President Truman’s departure to a weekend retreat—drawing global derision and anger.

But a hidden dagger always reveals itself. British magazine Korean Notebook stated under "Who Started It?":

"For months, Americans and their stooges prepared for war. After two days of artillery preparation on Korean territory, they launched war at dawn on June 25, 1950, simultaneously invading at three points with Korean forces."

Other exhibits include: U.S. book Secret History of the Korean War (Vol. 1); Dulles’ secret talk with Rhee before the war; and more. All irrefutably expose that the war outbreak on June 25, 1950—leading to 1,129 days of resentment and suffering—was engineered and forced by the arch-aggressor and humanity’s heinous enemy: U.S. imperialism.

The War Provocation Hall’s historical materials and relics from 70+ years ago expose, through irrefutable facts, the true nature of the most shameless aggressor and provocateur—never concealable by time.

History can never be falsified, distorted, or denied. No matter what deceptions or tricks U.S. imperialists employ, their nature as war provocateurs cannot be hidden.

DPRK Foreign Ministry Spokesperson
Strongly Condemns U.S. Military Attack on Iran as Sovereignty Violation and Breach of International Law

A DPRK Foreign Ministry spokesperson answered a KCNA reporter’s question on June 23 regarding the U.S. military strike on Iran’s nuclear facilities:

The Democratic People’s Republic of Korea strongly condemns the U.S. attack on Iran, which grossly violates the UN Charter and other norms of international law based on respect for sovereignty and non-interference in internal affairs, and brutally tramples the territorial integrity and security interests of a sovereign state.

Opposing the threat or use of force against any state’s territorial integrity or political independence is the purpose and principle of the UN Charter, reflecting the international community’s consensus. The current Middle East crisis—shaking the foundations of international peace and security—is an inevitable outcome of Israel’s arrogance in incessant wars and territorial expansion, and the Western-style "liberal order" that condoned and instigated it.

Under the pretext of "maintaining peace" and "eliminating threats," Israel and the U.S. escalated regional tensions through physical force, causing severe negative consequences for global security. The just international community must unanimously condemn and reject the confrontational acts of the U.S. and Israel.

U.S. Military Attack on Iran Draws Strong Intl Condemnation

On June 22, the U.S. launched a military strike on Iran’s nuclear facilities.

The attack reportedly employed numerous warplanes, including B-2 strategic bombers, missiles, and bombs. Iran condemned the strike on its critical nuclear facilities as a breach of international law, vowing retaliation. Iran’s President and Foreign Minister exposed Washington as the main force behind Israel’s hostile acts, stressing Iran’s right to retaliate based on legitimate self-defense. The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps warned aggressors would face regrettable consequences. Iran’s UN envoy condemned U.S.-Israeli aggression, stating: "The timing, nature, and scale of Iran’s retaliation will be decided by Iran’s military."

The U.S. attack drew strong international condemnation. Russia’s Foreign Ministry condemned the "irresponsible" missile and bomb attack as a gross violation of international law, the UN Charter, and Security Council resolutions, urging collective rejection of U.S.-Israeli confrontation. China’s Foreign Ministry strongly condemned the U.S. strike. Many countries and international bodies, including the UN, called the attack a dangerous act exacerbating Middle East conflicts, expressing grave concern over deepening chaos.

Russian President: Ukraine Crisis a Tragedy Caused by West

At the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum on June 20, Russian President Vladimir Putin addressed the Ukraine issue. He called the Ukraine crisis a tragedy caused by Western errors—a consequence of actions by those refusing to accept global changes. He condemned the West for acting from a position of strength regarding Ukraine and stressed Russia doesn’t seek Ukraine’s surrender. Moscow has never denied Ukraine’s right to build an independent, neutral state; it advocates recognizing reality.

Rejecting Western False Propaganda

At the OANA 19th General Assembly on June 20, Russian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Maria Zakharova rejected Western anti-Russia disinformation. Amidst recent Western claims of Russia "abducting" Ukrainian children, including a Canadian newspaper article titled "Labor Re-Education Headquarters for Ukrainian Children," Zakharova condemned Western propaganda as extreme. She cited the discovery of 100+ allegedly "abducted" children on German soil, noting European countries don’t know how many Ukrainian children are missing on their territory. She also exposed Poland’s knowledge of tens of thousands of Ukrainian children crossing its border, initially registering them but losing track as they left school. Russia’s Foreign Ministry will continue debunking false reports on Ukrainian children.

Rotting, Sick Capitalist Society

Who Is the Real Culprit?

An incident occurred once in a bustling U.S. city. A homeless man in his 50s fell asleep on a street corner amid aimless wandering. The contrast was stark: luxurious hotels and entertainment venues hosted the wealthy, while this destitute figure lay nearby—a common sight in unequal America. Tragedy struck when someone doused his sleeping body with gasoline and set him ablaze, brutally murdering him. An inhuman crime chilling to the bone.

As the saying goes, "Don’t break the beggar’s bowl." Yet instead of compassion, this man struggling to survive daily was burned alive. Who committed this horrific crime? Above all, it is the rotting, sick capitalist society rampant with extreme egoism and misanthropy.

Youth Turned Murderer

A shocking incident erupted at a Japanese train station gate. Amidst crowds, a man lunged, brandishing knives in both hands, wildly stabbing people. Chaos ensued. His frenzied attacks resembled a madman. One died instantly; several were critically injured. Earlier, near his home, he fatally stabbed a 70-year-old without reason. Was he mentally ill?

The killer was a 24-year-old gifted artist. Poverty stifled his talent. He yearned for university but couldn’t afford it. In job-scarce Japan, finding work proved impossible. Rejected by society, shame and humiliation consumed him. Endless anguish drove him to unsheathe his knives—a violent outburst against an unjust society.

Major Floods Sweep Global Regions

Since early 2025, torrential rains and floods sweeping global regions caused massive human and material losses. June saw intensified devastation.

Recently, torrential rain submerged major roads in Bucharest, Romania, paralyzing traffic and delaying flights. Romanian meteorologists issued alerts.

India suffered huge losses: deaths across states, tens of thousands affected, homes and roads destroyed, schools flooded. In Mumbai, floods collapsed a bridge, killing 30+.

Afghanistan’s Badakhshan Province also flooded: casualties, vast farmland and roads destroyed, homes ruined. Authorities warned more rain could worsen damage.

South Africa’s flood damage escalated. In Eastern Cape Province, torrential rain from June 9 caused floods that swept away a minibus carrying students. Initial searches found deaths and missing persons. By June 12, provincial authorities confirmed 57 deaths, with several still missing. Thousands were displaced; 127 schools and 20 health facilities damaged.

Vietnam reported human and property damage from floods. Media stated 30,000+ hectares of farmland flooded; 8 ships sunk or damaged. Casualties occurred.

In China, after floods hit Hainan, Guangdong, Guangxi, etc., central disaster relief funds were urgently allocated. The National Flood and Drought Control Headquarters activated emergency responses and implemented practical measures.

Globally, frequent floods stem largely from climate change. Experts warn extreme weather probability rises with global warming. In 2020, China suffered $17 billion in flood damage—the world’s highest. In 2021, global natural disasters (storms, floods, etc.) caused $280 billion in losses, with the U.S. and Europe hardest hit.

Recent extreme weather caused unpredictable phenomena worldwide. Last year, unprecedented floods hit southeast Sahara—first in 50 years. Data showed two days of rain exceeded annual rainfall. Southeast Morocco, typically dry in late summer, recorded 100mm of rain in 24 hours—first in 30–50 years. Satellite images showed a dry lake refilled after 50 years.

The WMO Secretary-General stated global warming accelerates water cycles, making them more irregular and unpredictable. In 2024, the UN Environment Programme reported global flood frequency more than doubled over 40 years. Experts express grave concern: climate-related disasters are increasing in frequency and scale, potentially expanding human and material damage.
