The spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea released the following press statement Sunday.

Kim Jong Un, General Secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea and President of the State Affairs of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, sent a message of sympathy to Xi Jinping, General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC) and President of the People's Republic of China, on March 21.

In the middle of a yet more frantic and reckless anti-Russia pressure campaign mounted by the U.S. and the West over the Ukrainian situation, President Putin, in recent video conference with the permanent members of the Security Council of the Russian Federation, condemned the West for its dispatch of mercenaries to Ukraine recruited from all over the world in defiance of all the norms of international law.

Kim Jong Un, General Secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK) and President of the State Affairs of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK), inspected the construction site of 10 000 flats in the Songsin and Songhwa areas nearing completion.

Amid the unprecedentedly increased pressure campaign against Russia by the United States and the West, President Putin exchanged the views with the French President and the German Chancellor through the telephone conversations on the issue of coordinating the Ukrainian situation.

President Putin affirmed the principled stand that Russia’s mission of military operation will be accomplished without fail under any circumstances, saying that the coordination of Ukrainian situation will be likely only when the status of Ukraine is confirmed as a neutral and non-nuclear state by means of demilitarization and denazification and when the Russia’s demands for the recognition of its sovereignty over the Crimea and the independence of Donetsk and Luhansk are accepted.

Today the situation of the Ukraine is now casting attention of the international society. 

The root cause of the Ukraine crisis totally lies in the hegemonic policy of the U.S. and the West which indulge themselves in high-handedness and arbitrariness towards other countries.

The greatest danger the world is now faced with is high-handedness and arbitrariness of the United States and its vassal forces that are shaking international peace and stability at the basis.
