Let Us Realize Creative Methods Based on Our Strength, Technology, and Resources!

Focus on Science, Technology, and Talent Mobilization

The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un said:

"Once localization goals are set, they must be pursued as earnestly as current production tasks, concentrating efforts until completion."

As the economy advances steadily, realizing creative methods based on our strength, technology, and resources is crucial for ensuring self-reliance and prosperity.

To achieve localization goals, all units must prioritize science, technology, and talent mobilization.

The path to strengthening the people’s economy’s independence is uncharted. Under unfavorable conditions, producing raw materials, supplies, and equipment with our brains and strength requires prioritizing science.

Relying on science’s power ensures confident conquest of localization goals and dynamic opening of unit development paths, even in adversity.

Recently, metal, chemical, power, and machine industry units have solved many scientific-technical problems, consolidating production foundations and contributing to national self-reliance.

These units’ officials value technical innovation for localization, encouraging workers and technicians to step forward with confidence.

Phased, goal-oriented plans for scientific-technical development, pursued as vigorously as current production, are paramount.

Some units set localization goals but hesitate, citing unfavorable conditions, neglecting urgent scientific-technical solutions or settling for status quo. Such views will never achieve goals or realize our ideals.

Officials must firmly believe in our scientists, technicians, and working class’s combined intellect, wisdom, and skill, boldly expanding technical innovation for localization.

The Chollima Tile Factory, prioritizing scientific research for localizing imported materials and equipment above current production, nurturing technical forces, and ensuring researchers’ conditions, invariably achieves transformations.

Enhancing talents’ creative abilities is also vital.

Under our Party’s talent-first policy, talent pools grow rapidly across sectors. Everywhere, talents shine brightly.

Officials must dive into the producers, mobilizing their infinite strength and wisdom through diverse methods.

The Hungnam Fertilizer Complex, analyzing talents’ abilities and specialties, assigned suitable technical innovation tasks, localizing many equipment and materials.

Officials distrusting their unit’s talents will never find localization possibilities. Such officials shrink before obstacles, naturally eyeing imports.

Units whose officials cannot mobilize talents cannot tread localization’s difficult path.

Only by relying on unit talents’ strength with a scientific-technical focus can we create valuable self-reliant assets.

When all units prioritize science, technology, and talent mobilization, the people’s economy will surge with greater vitality.

Let Us Realize Creative Methods Based on Our Strength, Technology, and Resources!

Did You Embrace It as a Matter of Life and Death?

At the Ryangchaek Bearing Factory, a responsible official felt heavy-hearted reviewing next month’s material supply status. Yet again, grinding stones—essential for bearing processing—had to be imported.

Though his pride suffered, he mechanically approved the import request. Soon, frustrated, he convened technicians.

"While advocating an end to import dependence, we rely on imported grinding stones. This threatens production expansion and our dignity. Let us stake our lives on producing them domestically."

The next day, localization efforts began. Repeated failures followed. But the factory persisted, ultimately producing high-quality grinding stones over 100 kg each from domestic materials.

While some units pursue localization earnestly, others cling to imports under various pretexts. This stems not from unfavorable conditions or technical lack but from failing to stake their unit’s fate on localization.

Officials must recognize that import dependence enslaves and embrace localization as a life-and-death matter for their unit’s future.

Otherwise, production cannot thrive, nor can our self-reliant foundations strengthen.

Establishment of Economically Significant Electrical Insulating Paper Production Process

The Chongjin Chemical Fiber Factory has established a domestic electrical insulating paper production process, now fully operational.

The insulating paper, meeting high technical standards in tensile strength, flexural strength, and insulation resistance, is praised by experts.

The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un said:

"We must firmly build our own scientific-technical development forces, strengthen creative cooperation with scientists and researchers from scientific-educational institutions, increase localization of equipment and materials, consolidate existing production foundations, and continuously modernize equipment and production processes."

Last year, factory officials resolved to produce electrical insulating paper domestically, widely used in motors and transformers.

They excelled by actively collaborating with the State Academy of Sciences’ Paper Science Research Institute and Chongjin Mining and Metallurgical University scientists, renowned for modernizing production processes.

Establishing a domestic production process in under a year was no easy feat.

But officials, workers, and technicians, determined to produce quality insulating paper proudly called our own, learned tirelessly from scientists, completing the process step by step.

Innovatively combining modern multilayer paper technology with coating and polishing, they enabled mass production of versatile insulating papers.

The Chemical Industry Department and North Hamgyong Provincial Party Committee supported this economically significant achievement.

The Chongjin Chemical Fiber Factory’s modern insulating paper production process reaffirms the truth: with determination, nothing is impossible.

South Pyongan Province Concentrates Propaganda Forces on Major Fronts

South Pyongan Province intensifies ideological offensives to inspire the masses in implementing Party decisions.

Amid struggles to conquer this year’s goals despite difficulties, the Provincial Party Committee strengthens Party and policy guidance for lagging targets while dispatching art propaganda teams, lecturers, and mobile agitators to major fronts, heightening frontline agitation.

Over 50 units, including the Bukchang Thermal Power Plant, Sunchon Cement Complex, and farms across the plains, benefit from these efforts.

To enhance ideological work’s effectiveness, visual propaganda ensures timeliness, mobility, and mass appeal, disseminating advanced units’ experiences.

Party propagandists, stationed at major fronts, deliver stirring speeches and revolutionary songs, marching shoulder-to-shoulder with the masses.

A concentrated economic agitation team, comprising provincial Party officials and families, conducts impactful agitation, resonating deeply with the masses.

Over 100 Construction Projects Vigorously Advanced

Over 100 construction projects surge forward as officials and workers strive to implement the 8th Plenum of the 8th Party Central Committee’s decisions.

Under the Provincial Party Committee’s guidance, officials command operations to unconditionally complete phased tasks, ensuring labor and material supply and strengthening technical supervision for quality.

Notable achievements include modernized city and county raw materials base buildings, newly built branch schools like the South Pyongan Province Sejae High School’s Hwangak Branch, and strengthened educational foundations.

At the Unsan Paper Factory construction site, builders advance interior work after completing frameworks, adopting advanced methods.

Pyongsong Daily Necessities Factory builders prioritize quality, meticulously coordinating processes.

Other projects, including the Provincial Agricultural Science Research Institute, Three Revolutions Exhibition Hall, and city/county plant quarantine stations, also progress steadily.

Hundreds of Tons of Plant Nutrients Produced and Supplied

The province produces and supplies various plant nutrients to overcome abnormal climate effects and improve crop growth.

Officials, collaborating with scientists, devised detailed plans for nutrient production and supply.

The Provincial Party Committee and Rural Economy Committee ensured timely raw material supply and delivery to farms.

Hundreds of tons of nutrients have minimized climate damage.

Cities and counties also produce nutrients locally, improving crop growth.

The Reward of a Solid Rear Base

The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un said:

"Officials must work with creative and pioneering methods and stance."

The Jongphyong County Hospital’s achievement in building fish farms, livestock sheds, and subsidiary plots through its own efforts is commendable.

How was this possible?

Years ago, when proposing to build a self-reliant rear base, some workers doubted, accustomed to county assistance.

Hospital officials, including Director Kim Yong Chan, corrected these outdated views through meetings and explanations.

"The Party emphasizes strengthening the health sector’s material foundations. How can we, as masters, wait for higher-level help?"

Thus, fish farms, livestock sheds, and subsidiary plots construction began.

But dependency habits die hard.

During land reclamation, some suggested seeking outside help. Then, officials stepped forward first.

"Accepting help would revive dependency. We must do everything ourselves," they resolved, setting an example.

Workers followed, devising efficiency ideas. With county material support, the hospital soon transformed barren land, built fish farms and livestock sheds, and established orchards.

Now, the hospital supplies meat, fish, eggs, and fruits to inpatients and is expanding comprehensive livestock farming.

The lesson is clear: those believing in their own strength find the right solutions.

Jongphyong County Hospital officials’ work proves this.

Joyous news adds to our thriving era’s jubilation: the DPRK’s first quintuplets, welcomed by thousands, left Pyongyang Maternity Hospital on June 19.

The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un said:

"Our Party spares no expense for children, and its embrace is the true home for all the nation’s children."

Pak Kyong Sim of Moranbong District gave birth to three girls and two boys on January 31. The father is Son Chung Hyo of Pyongyang Commercial Service College.

From her hospitalization for multiple pregnancy, Pak Kyong Sim received top care under Party and state benefits.

A strong medical team ensured safe delivery and recovery, using domestic treatments and nourishing medicines, including honey sent by the mother Party.

Quintuplet births remain a global challenge, especially as Korea’s first. The medical team, led by Dr. Pak Song Suk, overcame immense difficulties, stabilizing the babies within ten days and fully restoring the mother’s health by March 18.

At discharge, the quintuplets weighed 5.38 kg, 5.96 kg, 5.48 kg, 6.48 kg, and 4.74 kg, all in excellent health.

Under the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un’s loving care, prioritizing children’s well-being, Korea’s first quintuplets mark a miraculous joyous event.

The leader, despite his busy schedule, closely monitored the maternity hospital’s care, providing guidance and sending honey, nuts, and medicines yearly for women’s health.

Modern medical equipment, including incubators and anesthesia machines, embodies the leader’s parental love, treating children as kings.

The quintuplets’ birth is a festive gift to our people advancing with high confidence under the Party’s call.
