The Respected Comrade Kim Jong Un Meets Main Commanders of Overseas Operation Units of the Korean People's Army Who Returned to Participate in the National Awards Ceremony

The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un, General Secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea and president of the State Affairs of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, met the main commanders of the overseas operation units of the Korean People's Army who returned to participate in the National Awards Ceremony of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea at the Headquarters of the Central Committee of the Party on August 20.

The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un received a detailed report from the commanders on the military activities of our armed combat units in overseas operational areas and highly appreciated their merits in leading our units participating in the liberation operation of Kursk Region in the Russian Federation to victory.

The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un said that the Motherland entrusted Comrades and their combat units with the most important tasks and conveyed ardent militant encouragement to all commanders and soldiers of the Kursk Liberation Operation Units who repaid the trust of the Motherland with legendary military feats of utmost loyalty.

The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un praised the heroism of our army at the significant occasion and said as follows:

"Our army is a heroic army. This is because our army consists of sons born and raised by the heroic people. Our army has fully demonstrated its qualities. Such results have solidified its title and reputation as the strongest army in the world and given a clear understanding to everyone. Our army is now doing what it must do and what is necessary. The increased production struggle and the creative struggle are vigorously underway, the spirit of unfailingly fulfilling the people's economic plan higher than the previous period is heightened in various sectors and units of the people's economy, vast construction tasks planned in the construction sector are progressing according to schedule, and other meaningful and precious achievements have been made. At the base of all these achievements lies the role of party organizations at all levels that powerfully pushed forward the work of the unit through strong ideological offensives, meticulous operations, concrete task assignments, skillful political and policy guidance, intense reviews, and redeployment work, and tenaciously led the struggle for the implementation of Party policies.
