The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un Visits Kumsusan Palace of the Sun on the 80th Anniversary of National Liberation Amidst the sacred patriotic struggle to usher in a new era of comprehensive prosperity for our socialist state, the entire people of Korea, significantly commemorating the historic Liberation Day, pay the highest tribute and eternal glory to the great leader Kim Il Sung, the savior of liberation and peerless patriot. The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un, General Secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea and president of the State Affairs of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, visited the Kumsusan Palace of the Sun on August 14 to mark the 80th anniversary of national liberation. Attending were Pak Thae Song and Jo Yong Won, members of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the WPK Central Committee, along with senior Party and government officials, provincial Party secretaries, committee members, Cabinet ministers, administrative executives, and commanders of armed forces organs. A floral basket was laid before the statues of the great leader Kim Il Sung and the great leader Kim Jong Il in the name of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un. Floral baskets were also presented in the names of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, the State Affairs Commission of the DPRK, the Presidium of the Supreme People’s Assembly of the DPRK, and the Cabinet of the DPRK. The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un paid solemn homage to the statues of the great leader and the great general. After visiting the halls of immortality housing the preserved forms of the great leader Kim Il Sung and the great leader Kim Jong Il, Comrade Kim Jong Un offered a reverent salute of eternal life. Comrade Kim Jong Un stated that the great leader’s exploits in liberating the homeland—achieved by braving the arduous 20-year-long bloody path of the anti-Japanese struggle to reclaim the nation and establish the glorious revolutionary traditions—would remain immortal alongside the victorious advance of the Juche-oriented revolutionary cause. He expressed his ironclad resolve to build our country, embodying the noble aspirations of the great leader and the great general, into the most powerful and dignified nation on earth, an ideal paradise for the people. The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un Visits Revolutionary Martyrs Cemetery on Taesongsan on the 80th Anniversary of National Liberation Boundless reverence for the anti-J revolutionary forerunners—who crushed imperialist oppression with the revolutionary spirit of Paektu and laid the eternal foundation for our powerful state’s prosperity—resonates fervently across the nation celebrating this significant Liberation Day. The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un, General Secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea and president of the State Affairs of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, visited the Revolutionary Martyrs Cemetery on Taesongsan on August 14 to mark the 80th anniversary of national liberation. Attending were Pak Thae Song and Jo Yong Won, members of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the WPK Central Committee, along with senior Party and government officials, provincial Party secretaries, committee members, Cabinet ministers, administrative executives, and commanders of armed forces organs. An honor guard of the Korean People’s Army stood in formation at the cemetery. The national anthem of the DPRK was solemnly played. Amidst the floral tribute music, a floral basket in the name of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un was placed at the cemetery’s tribune. Comrade Kim Jong Un stated that the liberation of the homeland—the sacred Korean revolution’s first triumph born of arms—was a victory of the great leader’s original idea of independence and his 20-year-long sacred leadership, as well as the heroic struggle of our pioneering revolutionary generation, who fought with iron conviction that Korea would surely be liberated under the leader. Comrade Kim Jong Un emphasized that the unparalleled sanctity of the eternal anti-J war history lies in its every step being a bloody battle, eternally engraved with the invaluable world of revolutionary comradeship and indomitable fighting spirit to crush the enemy even through death a hundred million times. He declared that the fighters who created the great Paektusan spirit and revolutionary traditions—to be carried forward through generations—are the true revolutionaries and patriots whom all successors must forever remember and emulate. Comrade Kim Jong Un affirmed that upon the eternal foundation of victory and glory laid by the first revolutionary generation, our state would flourish endlessly as the world’s foremost power. He sincerely prayed for the immortal existence of the revolution’s red flag alongside the martyrs’ noble souls and spirit.
