Latest Automatic Meteorological Observation System Developed

 

The Hydro-meteorological Institute in the DPRK recently developed a latest automatic meteorological observation system and introduced it into major meteorological observation points.

The system is a device to measure atmospheric temperature, relative humidity, wind direction and speed, rainfall, atmospheric pressure, ground temperature, underground temperature, evaporation, soil humidity and other three meteorological factors and automatically transmit them.

In this regard, Kim Ju Hyok, section chief of the institute, told KCNA:

The system is of significance in ensuring the accuracy of meteorological observation.

The system's observation accuracy conforms to the requirements of the World Metrological Organization.
