Memorial meetings, discussions on exploits, and seminars were held in Russia by the Russian Party of Peace and Unity, the Russian Veterans League, the Far East Branch of the All-Russian Veterans Social Organization "Combat Brotherhood", the Khabarovsk Territorial Committee of the Lenin Communist Youth Union of the Russian Federation, the Buryatia Republic Association for the Study of the Juche Idea and the DPRK, the Khabarovsk Youth Association for the Study of the Juche Idea, the Far East Branch of the All-Russian Social Organization "Young Guard of United Russia", and the Far Eastern State Scientific Library from July 3 to 8 on the occasion of the 31st anniversary of the demise of the Great Leader Kim Il Sung.

Personages from the Russian government, parliament, political parties, organizations, and institutions, and masses attended the events and made speeches.

The chairman and vice-chairman of the Party of Peace and Unity praised that the Great Kim Il Sung was an outstanding statesman who achieved the liberation of Korea and led the Korean people to victory and glory for decades, and a peerless great man who devoted his whole life to the prosperity of the country and the happiness of the people.

The chairman of the Russian Veterans League stressed that the exploits performed by Kim Il Sung, the founder of socialist Korea and the Great Leader who received ardent reverence from all people, for the accomplishment of the human cause of independence are still being told today.

The deputy of the State Duma and chairman of the Russian Association for Friendship and Cultural Cooperation with the DPRK praised the exploits performed by the Great Leader before the times, history, the country and the people.

The chairman of the Far East Branch of the All-Russian Veterans Social Organization "Combat Brotherhood" highly praised that Kim Il Sung, the creator of the Juche idea and outstanding leader of the state, made great contributions to the Korean revolution and the cause of global independence, and his whole life was the most noble one based on patriotism and love for the people.

The chairman of the Buryatia Republic Association for the Study of the Juche Idea and the DPRK and the chairman of the Khabarovsk Youth Association for the Study of the Juche Idea detailed that the foundation for the development of relations between the two countries was laid by the Great Leader and the DPRK-Russia relations of friendship and cooperation have been strengthened and developed over years and centuries.
