Cherishing the immortality of our sacred national flag and the future of the Fatherland that will prosper forever, the veterans of the overseas military operations, who inscribed a great heroic epic unprecedented in history, and the heroes of legendary feats who regarded death as glory on the path of carrying out the orders of the Fatherland and devoted their precious lives without regret, are elevated as precious heroes of the era through the noble moral obligation of the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK), and the souls of the fallen comrades shine brilliantly as eternal stars of the Fatherland.

The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un, General Secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea and president of the State Affairs of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, met and warmly consoled the family members of the fallen comrades who performed extraordinary feats in overseas military operations at the Mokran House on August 29.

Leading officials of the Central Committee of the WPK, major commanders of the Ministry of National Defence and responsible officials of the revolutionary schools attended the event.

Comrade Kim Jong Un expressed deep words of consolation to the family members who were unable to contain their surging emotions.

Comrade Kim Jong Un said that he could not hold back his sorrow over the pain of being unable to bring back to life the officers and soldiers who fell fighting in foreign battlefields to defend the dignity and honor of the Fatherland, and the grief of being unable to protect their precious lives, and expressed deep condolences to all the family members.

Comrade Kim Jong Un said that in the praiseworthy exploits of the heroes who charged forward to meet death in obedience to the Fatherland's order, we saw the figures of steadfast parents who implanted and righteously nurtured love for the Fatherland and homeland in pure hearts, and vividly felt the deeply caring hands that became a support and added strength and courage in the days of true service. He said that our army is an heroic army that does not know surrender or impossibility and fights to win because it is made up of sons nurtured by the most resilient, patriotic, and righteous people in the world, and by the great heroic people who have shared the destiny of this country through generations of unyielding life and struggle.

Comrade Kim Jong Un said that although the fallen comrades departed with their green youth and lofty aspirations, their unyielding spirit and revolutionary spirit, which wrote a new turning point of victory for our country and ignited a raging flame of all-people heroism across the nation, will live forever in all our hearts, and he once again expressed lofty respect to the family members who are bravely overcoming the sorrow of losing their loved ones, and who proudly honor, support, and glorify the noble lives and final decisions of their children and husbands.

All the family members burst into tears, overwhelmed by the ardent sincerity of the Parent Leader, who glorifies the immortal feats and noble lives of the fallen comrades for all generations and unfolds a legend of love and faith unknown to history.

Comrade Kim Jong Un presented to each family member the portrait photos of the fallen comrades wrapped in the sacred flag of glory, the national flag of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, whose brilliant dignity and honor the heroic soldiers defended at the cost of their lives.

Every moment was filled with burning noble love and moral obligation.

Comrade Kim Jong Un posed for a meaningful historical photo with the family members who could not hold back their emotions while holding the photos of the fallen comrades.

Comrade Kim Jong Un called the responsible officials of the revolutionary schools and ardently said that we must rear the children left behind by the fallen comrades well, raising them to be core elements of the revolution and true sons and daughters of the Fatherland.

Comrade Kim Jong Un affirmed that the aspiration that the fallen comrades earnestly wished for until their last moment will surely be achieved, and that our Party and people will certainly build the most powerful and prosperous socialist ideal paradise upon the brilliant achievements left by the heroes.
