The Respected Comrade KIM JONG UN Has Meeting and Talks with Comrade Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin, President of the Russian Federation

The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un, General Secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea and president of the State Affairs of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, met and held talks with Comrade Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin, President of the Russian Federation, who was participating in the event commemorating the 80th anniversary of the victory in the Chinese People's War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War, at the Diaoyutai State Guesthouse in Beijing on the afternoon of September 3.

Comrade Kim Jong Un had a photo taken to commemorate the Beijing meeting with President Putin.

Participating in the talks were Comrade Sergei Lavrov, Foreign Minister of the Russian Federation; Comrade Andrey Belousov, Defense Minister; Comrade Alexander Kozlov, Minister of Natural Resources and Ecology; and Comrade Yuri Ushakov, Assistant to the President of the Russian Federation for Foreign Policy.

The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un expressed his joy at meeting President Putin again and positively evaluated the fact that the relations between the two countries have been vigorously expanding and developing in all fields since the signing of the DPRK-Russia inter-state treaty.

President Putin stated that the relations between the two countries are of a special trust-based, friendly and allied nature, highly appraised the unmatched courage and heroism displayed by Korean soldiers in the Kursk Liberation Operation, said that Russia will never forget the sacrifices made by the Korean army, and asked to convey his warmest greetings to the entire Korean people on behalf of the people of Russia.

Comrade Kim Jong Un expressed deep thanks for this.

Comrade Kim Jong Un said that the Democratic People's Republic of Korea will fully support the struggle of the Russian government, military and people to protect national sovereignty, territorial integrity and security interests, regard it as a fraternal duty, and remain steadfastly faithful to the implementation of the DPRK-Russia inter-state treaty.

The Heads of State of the two countries discussed in detail the prospective cooperation plans between the Democratic People's Republic of Korea and the Russian Federation and reaffirmed their firm will to continue guiding the bilateral relations to a higher level.

Comrade Kim Jong Un had a candid exchange of views with President Putin on important international and regional issues.

The meeting proceeded in a comradely and friendly atmosphere from start to finish.

Comrade Kim Jong Un conveyed warm greetings to the fraternal Russian people and exchanged warm farewells with Comrade Putin.
