The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un, General Secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea and president of the State Affairs of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, attended the 80th anniversary celebrations of the victory in the Chinese People's War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War, held in Beijing, the capital of the People's Republic of China, on September 3rd.

The great victory in the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War was a world-historic event that brought about a fundamental turn in carving out the destiny of the peoples of both Korea and China and of progressive mankind, and powerfully encouraged and propelled the national liberation struggles of colonial countries and the cause of human independence.

Comrade Kim Jong Un arrived at the venue, passing through the Duanmen Gate of the Beijing Palace Museum.

Comrade Kim Jong Un had a warm meeting and exchanged greetings with Comrade Xi Jinping, after which he took a commemorative photograph with the heads of state and government from many nations of the world and leaders of international organizations who were invited to the celebratory event.

At 9 a.m. local time, the grand commemorative rally for the 80th anniversary of the victory in the Chinese People's War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War began.

A ceremony for the hoisting of the national flag of the People's Republic of China was held amidst a salute of 80 artillery guns.

Comrade Xi Jinping, General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and President of the People's Republic of China, delivered a keynote speech and reviewed the parade units.

The military parade featured 45 foot and equipment columns and flight formations, representing the services and arms of the Chinese People's Liberation Army.

Doves symbolizing peace and countless balloons flew into the sky above the square, meaningfully adorning the conclusion of the commemorative rally.

On the same day, a reception was held at the Great Hall of the People to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the victory in the Chinese People's War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War.

Comrade Kim Jong Un attended the reception together with the leaders of various countries.

The reception featured a welcome performance by Chinese artists.
