On the occasion of the 77th anniversary of the founding of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, our country's embassy in Russia held a congratulatory reception on the 5th.

Present at the reception by invitation were Russian Federation Defense Minister Comrade Andrei Belousov, First Deputy Chairman of the Council of the Federation Comrade Ivan Melnikov, Deputy Foreign Minister Comrade Mikhail Galuzin, Deputy Minister of Defense Comrade Alexander Fomin, Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs Comrade Vitaly Shulika, and other personages from government, parliament, organizations and institutions, including the Foreign Ministry, the Ministry of Defense, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Ministry of Science and Higher Education, the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Agriculture, and the Prosecutor General's Office.

Comrade Sin Hong Chol, our country's Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Russia, and embassy staff members were in attendance.

The participants first laid a flower basket and bouquets before the art work depicting the Great Leader Kim Il Sung and the Great Leader Kim Jong Il standing together and paid their respects.

They then looked round the video photo documents showing the noble revolutionary lives and exploits of the Great Leader and the Great General, the immortal exploits performed by the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un for the development of Korea-Russia friendly relations, as well as the works of the peerlessly great men and photographs showing the might and development of our Republic.

Prior to the start of the reception, the Russian Federation Defense Minister, on behalf of the Ministry of Defense, warmly congratulated the 77th anniversary of the founding of the DPRK and emphasized that the relations between the peoples of the two countries are bound by more than friendship, because Russia-Korea relations were forged in battles where soldiers of the two countries fought shoulder to shoulder.

He expressed sincere gratitude and respect to the officers and men of the Korean People's Army who participated in the battle to liberate the Kursk region from the neo-Nazi forces of the Kyiv regime, together with Russian soldiers.

Speeches were made at the reception.

The First Deputy Chairman of the Council of the Federation referred to the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries and stated that although Korea-Russia friendship has gone through many trials over the long years since then, he felt even more strongly the firm support of Korea for Russia.

The Deputy Foreign Minister pointed out that after establishing diplomatic relations in 1948, the two countries have been firmly bound by traditional friendship and good-neighborly relations, and that the close bond based on equality, mutual respect, national interests, and common historical memories has not changed over the years and has taken on even greater significance today.

The Deputy Minister of Defense praised that under the leadership of Comrade Kim Jong Un, the glorious traditions of the Republic are being continued and the country is being reliably defended by the Korean People's Army, equipped with modern weapons and possessing powerful combat capabilities, and stated as follows:

The meeting and talks between the leaders of the two countries held in Beijing once again demonstrated the solidity and invincibility of the strategic relations between Russia and Korea.

Mutual cooperation between Moscow and Pyongyang encompasses not only the military field but all fields.
