Comrade Kim Jong Un, Chairman of the Workers' Party of Korea and Chairman of the State Affairs Commission and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, enjoyed an art performance staged by the amateur art groups of the KPA units selected in the 7th round of the 2nd-term art performance contest of the KPA service personnel's wives on June 2.

When Kim Jong Un, together with Ri Sol Ju, appeared in the auditorium of the theatre, all the participants raised stormy cheers of "Hurrah!".

Two officers' wives presented fragrant bouquets to Kim Jong Un and Ri Sol Ju, representing the boundless reverence of the entire service personnel's wives.

Among the audience were Choe Ryong Hae, member of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the WPK, first vice-chairman of the SAC of the DPRK and president of the Presidium of the Supreme People's Assembly, leading officials of the WPK Central Committee including Ri Man Gon, Pak Kwang Ho, Ri Su Yong, Kim Phyong Hae, Choe Hwi, An Jong Su, Pak Thae Dok, Pak Thae Song, Kim Yong Chol, Kim Su Gil and Kim Ki Nam, commanding officers of the KPA and creators and artistes of major art troupes.

The performance was given by the amateur art group members of service personnel's wives of the Fourth Corps and the Air and Anti-Aircraft Force of the KPA.

The performance showed that the defence lines of the country are impregnable thanks to the large contingent of women revolutionaries giving a great vigor to the revolution with their love and devotion, keeping the great trust and expectation of the Party Central Committee deep in their hearts, to be acclaimed by the audience.

After the performance was over, Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un called nearby the son of a pilot who had fallen in combat mission and a child named by him during a glorious conference and hugged them in his arms, wishing them a happy future.

Comrade Kim Jong Un expressed great satisfaction over the fact that the amateur art group members of service personnel's wives gave a wonderful performance of great ideological and artistic influence reflecting the party policy sensitively on the basis of the exploits of the party's leadership over the units and their life.

He praised the performance which clearly proved the validity and vitality of the party's idea on attaching importance to the mass culture and art as a performance that impressively showed how the service personnel of the army and their wives are linked with the Party Central Committee with kindred feelings and gave a good understanding of the true features of our perfect unity and the ideological and mental world of the service personnel's wives resolutely defending the lines and policies of the party.

Stressing the importance of the art performance of the service personnel's wives with powerful encouragement and appeal in the ideological and cultural construction of the party, Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un praised the revolutionary and noble mentality and cultural attainments of the service personnel's wives as the driving force of the Korean revolution and a model of the whole society and pointed out that all members of the society should live and work with the service personnel's wives as mirror.

He expressed the expectation that the service personnel's wives would further materialize the revolutionary and beautiful life they showed on the stage at all posts as good explainers and propagandists of the party policy.
