Kim Jong Un, chairman of the Workers' Party of Korea, chairman of the State Affairs Commission of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea and supreme commander of the armed forces of the DPRK, gave field guidance to the Jungphyong Vegetable Greenhouse Farm and Tree Nursery under construction in Kyongsong County.

At the observation platform, Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un said that a modern vegetable greenhouse with scores of hectares and a tree nursery with a capacity of 20 million tree saplings were built in this place and hundreds of low-storeyed dwelling houses for the employees, public buildings, school, kindergarten and nursery, hospital and all the public service installations stand in a row. He said with pleasure that creation of a thing out of nothing is a saying appropriate to the case.

He looked round the hydroponic greenhouse and soil greenhouses.

It is essential to meticulously operate and manage the farm so as to show as success in the production the vitality of a highly intensive vegetable production base directly related with the improvement of the people's dietary life, he said, underscoring the need to actively introduce advanced technique and method of vegetable culture to increase the output and activate production so that the people of North Hamgyong Province can benefit greatly from the farm.

Noting that the farm should make full preparations for running the greenhouses to produce vegetables simultaneously from the next year, he said that the institutions of agricultural guidance should establish the system of supplying fertilizer, insecticides and other farming materials.

He made rounds of the residential quarters of the farm employees.

Expressing great satisfaction over the building of a farm village as good as a city, he said that the village of the Jungphyong Vegetable Greenhouse Farm can be a model for the building of socialist rural modern houses.

He said that the Jungphyong Vegetable Greenhouse Farm under construction is a revolution, model in the building of greenhouses, adding that to build such a modern greenhouse farm in each province to supply various species of fresh vegetables to the people all the year round is a thing he has long wanted to do certainly, and it is necessary to put spurs to the building of state-of-the-art greenhouse farms on a nationwide scale from the point of view of practical utility and improve the dietary life of the people.

He expressed the conviction that the servicepersons of the People's Army boundlessly loyal to the Party will creditably build the Jungphyong Vegetable Greenhouse Farm and Tree Nursery as edifices of eternal value in the era of the Workers' Party, in hearty response to the plan and intention of the Party, so as to surely repay the trust and expectations of the Party.

He was accompanied by senior officials of the WPK Central Committee Jo Yong Won, Kim Yo Jong, Ri Jong Nam, Yu Jin, Pak Song Chol, Hong Yong Song and Hyon Song Wol and Director of a bureau of the State Affairs Commission Ma Won Chun.
