Kim Jong Un, Chairman of the Workers' Party of Korea and Chairman of the State Affairs Commission and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, guided test-firing of new weapon on August 10.

He received a report on the development of new weapon and gave an instruction to make an immediate test of it.

Leading officials of the Central Committee of the WPK and in the field of national defence science greeted him who had come out to the spot early in the morning to guide test-firing of the new weapon system.

Kim Jong Un looked round the new weapon at the launching site.

Saying the new weapon developed according to the geographical conditions of Korea and the requirement of the Juche-oriented war tactics has another superior tactical characteristics different from the existing weapon systems, he explained about the strategic and tactical attempt of the Party Central Committee that presented the task of developing the new weapon system to the field of national defence science.

Kim Jong Un mounted the observation post to guide the test-firing.

When he gave an order of fire, the powerful Juche missiles were launched along with the loud whir shaking the sky and earth, emitting flashes as if heralding their birth.

Through minute analysis of the test-firing result, it was confirmed that the demand for the design of the superior and powerful new weapon system has been perfectly met.

Seeing the test-firing result of the new weapon transmitted to the display unit at the observation post, Kim Jong Un expressed great satisfaction, saying with pleasure that another new weapon conceived by the Party has come into being.

He warmly said:

Once the Party indicates a direction, our national defence scientists and munitions workers do all things. They have more correct understanding of the strategic plan and intention of the Party Central Committee than anybody else and implement them. They are nice comrades who always disembarrass me of my burden and make me forget difficulties.

The national defence scientists and munitions workers are incessantly consolidating the defence capability of the country with intense loyalty to the Party and the revolution and the noblest love for the country, true to the Party's strategy for development of the national defence industry. Their heroic and patriotic feats will be recorded forever in the history of struggle of the WPK.
