A Letter Humbly Presented to the Respected Comrade KIM JONG UN, the Loving Father of Compatriots in China

Respected Comrade Kim Jong Un, whom we always long to see,

At a time when the dignity and national power of the socialist fatherland are shining throughout the world and the great heyday of all-around national rejuvenation is unfolding, we, the members of the Mt. Paektu Area Revolutionary Site Study Tour Group of the General Association of Korean Residents in China, who were honored to receive the greatest glory of conducting a study tour of the Paektu battle sites and participating in the grand celebration of the 80th anniversary of the liberation of the fatherland, all thanks to the warm love of the respected Comrade Marshal, humbly present this letter to the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un, the loving father of compatriots in China, before leaving the fatherland.

First of all, we humbly offer our deep bow of gratitude to the respected Comrade Marshal on behalf of all members of the General Association of Korean Residents in China and all compatriots in China, who bestowed great grace upon us, enabling us to ascend Mt. Paektu, the sacred mountain of revolution, and conduct a study tour of the revolutionary sites in this meaningful month of August, which marks the 80th August 15, and who showed warm affection for every corner of our daily life during the study tour days.

The study tour period spent in the Mt. Paektu area under the particular love and grace of the respected Comrade Marshal was a meaningful and unforgettable time of our lives, during which we engraved in our hearts the immortal achievements of the Great Leader, the Sun, who left bloody traces of the anti-Japanese revolution on every ridge of Mt. Paektu, and the patriotic spirit of the fighters.

During this visit to the fatherland, we once again keenly felt how dearly the respected Comrade Marshal cherishes and loves the members of the General Association of Korean Residents in China and overseas compatriots.

The respected Comrade Marshal took a loving measure for the members of our study tour group to travel to and from Pyongyang and Mt. Paektu by special plane and provided accommodation conditions for us to live without any minor inconvenience at the splendidly built Pegaebong Hotel, showing the warm and meticulous affection of a loving parent.

Embraced in that love, throughout the entire study tour period, we marched at the head of the ranks with the flag of the Republic fluttering, shouting slogans filled with the will to firmly follow the respected Comrade Marshal along the march path of Paektu, and sang revolutionary songs highly. At every revolutionary site, listening to the passionate explanations of the lecturers, we clearly engraved in our hearts the noble revolutionary exploits of the peerless great men and the sublime spiritual world of the anti-Japanese revolutionary martyrs.

The respected Comrade Marshal also bestowed a special privilege upon us, who returned to Pyongyang after finishing the study tour of the revolutionary sites in the Mt. Paektu area, allowing us to fully enjoy socialist civilization at the Wonsan-Kalma coastal tourist area, a people's cultural resort where the fascinating scenery of Myongsasimri and the endless crowds of Inphasimri, which everyone in the world desires to see, are unfolded.

How could that be all?

The respected Comrade Marshal called all members of our Mt. Paektu Area Revolutionary Site Study Tour Group to the venue of the celebration of the 80th anniversary of the liberation of the fatherland and placed us in the very front seats, granting us the priceless honor and great fortune of seeing the Marshal, whom we long to see even in our dreams, closely for a long time.

Looking up at the image of the respected Comrade Marshal, who passionately appealed from the high podium of the celebration of the 80th anniversary of the liberation of the fatherland to continue overcoming the challenges before us without hesitation for the sake of the great powerful nation and the eternal well-being and prosperity of our beloved state, which will shine for all generations to come, we firmly stored in our hearts the conviction of certain victory that, as long as the Marshal is with us, no matter how hundreds of times the world changes and no matter what formidable enemies challenge us, our socialist fatherland will remain unshaken and victory will be ours, as firm as the thousand-year rock of Mt. Paektu.

Respected Comrade Marshal,

During this visit, we keenly felt in our hearts that this is our fatherland, where the people's aspirations become the Party and state's long-cherished desires and are invariably realized despite any difficulties.

We heard the song of triumph, "We Have Nothing to Envy in the World," resonating throughout the world from the laughter of the people bursting forth like victory salvos of socialist triumph everywhere on the land of the fatherland, including the newly transformed Samjiyon City, Pyongyang's Hwasong area, and the front-line streets, and we saw the miserable appearance of the hostile forces screaming their last screams.

Although our bodies are in a foreign land, we have set the address of our lives in the bosom of the great love of the respected Comrade Marshal, and we will devote our body and soul to patriotic activities for the prosperity of the fatherland, firmly believing in and following only the Marshal, no matter what trials and difficulties come, with the revolutionary spirit of Paektu realized during this study tour process.

In particular, we will enshrine the statue of the Great Leader the Sun at the Jilin Yuwen Middle School more brightly and respectfully, properly carry out the work of protecting and managing the anti-Japanese revolutionary sites and relics in the three Northeastern provinces of China, and actively organize and develop revolutionary traditional education through it.

We will strengthen the General Association of Korean Residents in China into a dignified overseas citizens' organization and patriotic compatriots' organization of Juche Korea that faithfully upholds only the leadership of the respected Comrade Marshal, and actively contribute to the work of glorifying the traditional Korea-China friendship.

As the time to leave the fatherland approaches, the longing for the respected Comrade Marshal pierces our hearts even more deeply, and we cannot hold back the hot tears in our eyes.

Our greatest wish while living in a foreign land is solely the well-being of the respected Comrade Marshal.

The members of the Mt. Paektu Area Revolutionary Site Study Tour Group of the General Association of Korean Residents in China humbly pray for the good health of the respected Comrade Marshal Kim Jong Un for the eternal prosperity and brilliant future of Juche Korea, with the boundless respect and loyalty of all compatriots in China.

Vol. 66 of "Complete Works of KIM JONG IL" Published

 

 

The Workers' Party of Korea Publishing House has published Vol. 66 of "Complete Works of Kim Jong Il," an immortal series of the Kim Il Sung-Kim Jong Il-ism, which comprehensively includes the immortal classic works of the Great Leader Comrade Kim Jong Il in chronological order.

The volume contains 53 classic works, including historic letters and talks presented by the Great General from March to December 2003.

The Great Leader Comrade Kim Jong Il taught as follows:

"The line of developing the defense industry preferentially while simultaneously developing light industry and agriculture is a revolutionary line for achieving great leaps and great innovations by breaking through the piled-up difficulties in socialist economic construction."

In his immortal classic work "Let Us Thoroughly Implement the Economic Construction Line of the Songun Era Presented by the Party," the Great Leader Comrade Kim Jong Il clarified the tasks of most correctly combining national defense construction, economic construction, and the problem of people's living standard in accordance with the demands of the era and the revolution and solving them all successfully at the highest level.

Works such as "The Combat Capability of Units Must Be Solidly Built to Successfully Fulfill Combat Missions" and "We Must Become an Example for the Entire Army in All Aspects" present tasks and methods for firmly establishing a revolutionary military style in the People's Army that absolutely obeys and carries out to the death the orders and instructions of the Supreme Commander, substantially conducting political and ideological education, and strengthening combat training to solidly prepare all soldiers as one-hundred-strong combatants.

In works such as "On Several Tasks Arising in the Economic and Cultural Work of South Hamgyong Province," "Today's Reality Unfolded in Jagang Province Is a Brilliant Result Brought About by the Kanggye Spirit," and "The Pyongyang Cosmetics Factory Must Become a Factory Loved by the People, a Factory That Serves the People," the Great General emphasized forcefully pushing ahead with the construction of large-scale hydroelectric power stations, vigorously building small and medium-sized power stations everywhere to solve the electricity problem, and producing and supplying a lot of various good cosmetics to the people.

Tasks for bringing about a great turn in agricultural production and rural construction, including arranging crops and varieties according to the principle of right soil-right crop and right season-right crop in line with the requirements of the Juche farming method, scientifically and technologically managing fertilization, strengthening support to the countryside, and doing well the state supply work, are specified in works such as "On Thoroughly Implementing Our Party's Agricultural Revolution Policy."

The work "On Thoroughly Implementing the Party's Line of Attaching Importance to Science and Technology" contains ideas on vigorously waging the struggle to modernize and informatize the country's economy based on cutting-edge science and technology and enhancing the role of scientists and technicians in every way.

In works including "The Servicemen's Families Art Squad Contest Is One of the Powerful Impetuses Powerfully Arousing Servicemen and People to the Struggle to Defend Socialism" and "Servicemen's Families Art Squad Performances Should Produce Many Works on Themes of Reality with Great Educational Value," the Great General taught that servicemen's families art squads should sensitively reflect the demands of the Party's policy, produce many works firmly rooted in reality, and properly contribute to educating servicemen and people in a revolutionary way.

The volume also contains classic works that give clear answers to theoretical and practical problems arising in various fields of revolution and construction, including the issue of officials becoming true servants of the people who devote themselves for the people, the issue of building the music college in a modern way at the highest level, and the issue of continuing to do well the work with youth.

The works included in Vol. 66 of "Complete Works of Kim Jong Il" are a great encyclopedia of revolution and construction whose correctness, truthfulness, and vitality have been confirmed through practice, and they will serve as powerful ideological and spiritual weapons powerfully inspiring the entire people of the country who have risen up in the struggle to highly uphold the decisions of the 12th Plenary Meeting of the 8th Central Committee of the Party and glorify this meaningful year with laudable labor achievements.

A Story Blooming on the Traces of Devotion to the People

So That They Can Receive High Praise from the People

One day in June 2014, the respected Comrade General Secretary visited the newly built Kalma Foodstuff Factory, which was about to start operations.

After looking around various places of the factory, including the production command room, processing room, and refrigeration room, and specifically learning about the construction situation, the respected Comrade told the accompanying officials that the intention of the Party was to equip the Kalma Foodstuff Factory as a model and standard of a fish processing base meeting the demands of the new century.

He said that since the construction had reached the completion stage, deep attention should be paid to the work of impeccably furnishing the interior and exterior of the factory, establishing good drainage and ventilation systems for the processing rooms, and thoroughly ensuring the hygiene and safety of the production site.

The thoughts of the officials, who were engraving every word of the teachings of the respected Comrade in their hearts, deepened.

The respected Comrade General Secretary, who personally initiated the construction of the factory to give our people more tasty and nutritious processed aquatic products, personally named the factory, solved every problem arising in the construction, and yet was pouring such endless heart's blood—

Looking around the officials filled with deep emotion, the respected Comrade General Secretary kindly said that this factory must produce good products in abundance that can overwhelm processed aquatic products of other countries in terms of taste and quality and receive high praise among the people.

Looking up at the respected Comrade General Secretary, the officials firmly resolved in their hearts to produce tasty and high-quality processed aquatic products favored by the people as willed by him.

Lest There Be Even a Single Shortcoming

It was when the respected Comrade General Secretary visited the Mirim Riding Club, which had splendidly been built as a modern mass riding service base.

The view of the sand tracks, turf tracks, and blue stone tracks stretching far and wide across the wide-open plain was a spectacle to behold.

Looking up at the respected Comrade, who was looking at the riding tracks overflowing with joy, the accompanying officials could not hold back their heartwarming feelings, thinking of the labor and heart's blood he had devoted to making our people enjoy riding sports as early as possible.

Then, the respected Comrade General Secretary, who was examining the buildings and tracks beside the tracks, told the officials that a ditch should be dug between the turf track and the blue stone track.

After his words, the officials again examined the terrain around the riding track, but the track's terrain was not so low that the turf track would be submerged in water when it rained.

He said that the current turf track is such that when it rains heavily, like during the rainy season, water flows into it.

Continuing, the respected Comrade General Secretary pointed to the roof of the outdoor spectator stand and repeatedly said that measures should also be taken to prevent rainwater falling from the eaves of the buildings from flowing into the track.

The officials, linking the buildings and the track in their thoughts, could not help but marvel at the teaching of the respected Comrade.

Looking closely, the ground sloped slightly from the buildings toward the track, and beside the track, buildings such as a regular-shaped outdoor spectator stand, a riding knowledge dissemination room, and an indoor riding training ground were lined up densely.

As he said, when it rained, rainwater pouring down from the large roof area would become falling water and flow entirely into the track, and the turf track could become a water reservoir.

The respected Comrade General Secretary, who is so concerned lest there be even the slightest shortcoming in the riding service base our people will use and is pouring his heart's blood into completing it at the highest level—

Looking up at the benevolent image of the respected Comrade, the officials pictured that day when, upheld by such burning love and deep grace of the Great Parent, the sound of horse hooves will highly resonate at the Mirim Riding Club and the people's laughter overflowing with joy will endlessly reverberate.

Chinese Embassy in Our Country Hosts Reception Marking 80th Anniversary of Victory in Chinese People's War of Resistance Against Japan and World Anti-Fascist War

A reception hosted by the Embassy of the People's Republic of China in our country marking the 80th anniversary of the victory in the Chinese People's War of Resistance Against Japan and the World Anti-Fascist War was held on the 20th.

Invited were Comrade Choe Ryong Hae, Member of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, First Vice-President of the State Affairs of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, and Chairman of the Standing Committee of the Supreme People's Assembly; Comrade Sung Kyung Gwi, Minister of Culture; Comrade Mun Sung Hyok, Vice-Department Director of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea; Comrade Pak Myong Ho, Vice-Minister of Foreign Affairs; Comrade Ryu Un Hae, Vice-Minister of External Economic Relations; and officials from relevant sectors.

Also invited were members of the diplomatic corps accredited to our country.

Wang Yajun, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China, embassy staff, and Chinese guests staying in the country attended.

At the reception, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Wang Yajun made a speech.

He said that the victory in the unprecedentedly arduous War of Resistance Against Japan is a great victory not only for the Chinese people but also for all the peace- and justice-loving people of the world.

He said that Korea-China friendship was prepared in the flames of the bloody revolutionary struggle, and he especially emphasized that Comrade Kim Il Sung, the Great Leader of the Korean people and close friend of the Chinese people, waged a life-and-death struggle against the Japanese aggressors together with the Northeast Anti-Japanese United Army, making a great contribution to the victory of the Chinese People's War of Resistance Against Japan.

He said that always excellently safeguarding, consolidating, and developing the traditional Korea-China friendship is the firm and unshakable policy of the Chinese Party and government, and expressed the willingness to thoroughly implement the important common understandings reached by the top leaders of Korea and China, thereby advancing the socialist cause of the two countries and contributing to the happiness of the peoples of the two countries and world peace and stability.

Next, Comrade Sung Kyung Gwi made a speech.

He expressed high respect to the forerunners of the two countries of Korea and China who unsparingly devoted their youth and lives to the sacred war of resistance against Japan, and mentioned that the victory in the War of Resistance Against Japan was a world-historic event that made a great contribution to concluding the Second World War with the victory of the world anti-fascist democratic forces and making independence, peace, and justice the mainstream in international relations.

He said that we will make joint efforts together with Chinese comrades to continuously strengthen and develop the friendly and cooperative relations formed on the road of realizing the anti-imperialist independent and socialist cause in accordance with the noble intention of the leaders of the two Parties and two countries of Korea and China.
