In early June, at the invitation of Comrade Kim Chun Song, First Secretary of the DPRK Embassy, a working meeting was held during which planning consultations took place.

Key issues were discussed, including the current state of the DPRK International Solidarity Group (DPRK ISG) and the reasons for the formation of the DPRK International Youth Friendship League (IYFL), as well as the approval of the work plan for the coming months.

On the side of our organisation, the meeting was attended by Comrades Viktor Petrov (Honorary President of the DPRK ISG, Chairman of the Russian Society for Friendship and Cultural Cooperation with the DPRK), Alexander Mostov (Director of the 4th Administrative Department of the DPRK ISG, Chairman of the IYFL), and Ivan Kozlov (Regional Secretary of the DPRK ISG Russian Executive Committee for the Central Federal District of the Russian Federation, First Secretary for Organisational Work of the IYFL).

A decision was made to hold a conference on the occasion of the 2nd anniversary of the signing of the Treaty on Comprehensive Strategic Partnership, a large-scale international scientific conference "73rd Anniversary of the Victory in the Korean War: Lessons of History and Resistance to US Imperialism at the Present Stage", an autumn inter-university conference, as well as a number of other important events.

It was stated that the virtual rupture of relations with the Moscow branch of a certain youth organisation, which in the crudest manner banned its activists from participating in solidarity events with the DPRK, further confirms the important and responsible role of the newly established DPRK International Youth Friendship League as the vanguard of a new generation of people's diplomats seeking to contribute to the development of Korean-Russian relations.

The participants of the meeting took a commemorative photograph in front of the portrait of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un, President of the State Affairs of the DPRK and General Secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea.
