On June 10, the 1st Plenum of the Central Committee of the DPRK International Solidarity Group (DPRK ISG) of the 3rd convocation was held in an online format.

Comrade Zheng Yutong, President of the DPRK ISG and Chairman of the Central Committee of the DPRK ISG, presided over the Plenary meeting.

The work of the Plenum was attended by members and candidate members of the Central Committee, directors of departments, heads of executive and regional committees of the DPRK ISG.

The following agenda, comprising the strategic directions of the organisation's activities for the coming period, was approved:

  1. Address by Comrade Zheng Yutong to the members of the Central Committee of the DPRK ISG and activists of the DPRK ISG.
  2. Discussion on the situations in various executive committees.
  3. Additional election of members of the Central Committee and appointment of a new head of the Russian Executive Committee.
  4. Organisational matter.
  5. Approval of the list of delegates for the next WAP conference.

Comrade Zheng Yutong delivered an address to the members of the Central Committee and activists of the DPRK ISG.

In her speech, Comrade Zheng Yutong summed up the work of the past period and outlined the priority tasks facing the organisation. In particular, she assessed the situation that has developed in relations with the Moscow City Committee of the Leninist Communist Youth League of the Russian Federation.

Comrade Zheng Yutong noted that, despite repeated attempts at destructive interference by certain individuals, our organisation continues to steadfastly follow the course of strengthening international solidarity with the DPRK.

She said:

“Firstly, regarding the recent incidents involving the Moscow City Committee of the Leninist Communist Youth League. Since 2024, they have repeatedly interfered in our activities.

Despite the fact that we rendered them enormous assistance, they still attacked us, deprived our activists of their positions, and even forcibly withdrew their side's participation from the memorial meeting on the occasion of the anniversary of the passing of the Great Leader Comrade Kim Jong Il – the most heinous anti-communist outrage, which previously only the scoundrels of the Republic of Korea were capable of. Such behaviour seriously hurts our feelings, undermines the unity of the international solidarity movement, and we express our concern over this, having sent a corresponding information message to all comrades connected with us.

We plan to hold more events – such as the International Scientific Conference for Studying the Results of the WPK Congress, the Conference on the occasion of the anniversary of the Korean-Russian summit and the signing of the Treaty on Comprehensive Strategic Partnership between the DPRK and the Russian Federation, other festive events, as well as academic symposia and public actions, without further troubling ourselves with sending invitations to those who have exposed their hostile essence.

Secondly, the World Anti-Imperialist Platform invites us to the 11th International Anti-Imperialist Conference and Mobilisations. And in this connection, we need to adopt a number of relevant organisational measures.

Furthermore, I would like to share the latest achievements of our work. Members of our organisation recently visited Pyongyang and achieved results in the commercial sphere.

We provided assistance to the Embassy in organising the celebration of the 10th anniversary of Comrade Kim Jong Un's tenure as Chairman. Agreements on cooperation in the field of infrastructure construction have been reached.

At present, we are negotiating the establishment of our official representative office in the DPRK.”

During the discussion on the situation in various executive committees, reports were heard from the heads of regional structures. The participants exchanged views on the current situation in the regions where the DPRK ISG is present, discussed the prospects for expanding activities and measures to counter hostile propaganda.

One of the key decisions of the Plenum was the additional election of Comrade Dmitry Vasilets, Head of the Ukrainian Executive Committee of the DPRK ISG, and Comrade Miruna Pandele, President of the Association "Friends of the DPRK in Romania", to the Central Committee. Comrade Vitaly Lebedev, in turn, was appointed Head of the Russian Executive Committee.

The Plenum unanimously ratified the signing of the Paris Declaration, previously carried out by our side.

After the discussion, the Plenum unanimously ratified the signing of the Declaration on the Establishment of the DPRK International Youth Friendship League (IYFL), which was an important step in the development of the youth wing of our organisation.

The Declaration on the admission of the Association "Friends of the DPRK in Romania" into the DPRK ISG as a collective member was also ratified.

Then, after hearing the reports, the participants of the meeting paid special attention to the issue of the destructive activities of the Moscow City Committee of the LKSM RF. A decision was adopted condemning the anti-communist actions of Ivan Komendantov and the persons associated with him who adopted the anti-Korean resolution, as well as measures to consistently block their participation in local and international events.

In conclusion, the Plenum approved the list of delegates for the upcoming conference of the World Anti-Imperialist Platform (WAP).

The participants of the Plenum expressed unanimous support for the course determined by the leadership of the President of the DPRK ISG, Comrade Zheng Yutong – the centre of our organisation.
