On August 21, Comrade Margarita Popova, Third Secretary of the DPRK IYFL, published a statement regarding the blocking of accounts of participants of the friendly movement on the Boosty platform.

The full text of the statement follows.

Yesterday, the Boosty platform blocked paid-content channels of participants of our friendly movement “JoJack”. For us, this is not just another blocking. “JoJack” is a movement with which our parent organization (DPRK ISG) has a treaty of friendship and cooperation, therefore we perceive attempts to restrict its activities as pressure on our partners – and we openly declare our solidarity with them.

We strongly condemn the actions of Boosty.
When a platform restricts the activities of authors and blocks paid-content channels without clear and transparent explanations, this raises serious questions about compliance with the principles of freedom of expression and equal treatment of users.

The DPRK IYFL regards what happened as a manifestation of politically motivated censorship and pressure on a movement friendly to us. We call on Boosty to provide comprehensive explanations regarding the reasons for the blocking and to reconsider its decision.

We will not ignore attempts to restrict the activities of our friends. That is why we will continue to advocate for mutual support, justice, and the right of our friendly movements and organizations to freely develop their activities.
