On the evening of September 5, 2026, the Association "Friends of the DPRK in Romania", together with the Romanian Socialist Party, took part in the reception organized by the Embassy of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea in Romania on the occasion of the 78th anniversary of the proclamation of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea.

The meeting opened with the playing of the anthems of the DPRK and Romania, after which the message of His Excellency Comrade Ri Sang Rim, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea in Romania, was delivered.

Comrade Miruna Georgiana Pandele, Vice-President of the Romanian Socialist Party, President of the Association "Friends of the DPRK in Romania" within the DPRK ISG, and Regional Secretary of our organization in Romania, as well as other relevant officials, attended the event.

For the first time at this reception, we were honored by the participation, via video conference, of Comrade Alexander Mostov, Director of the 4th Administrative Department of the Central Committee of the DPRK ISG.

On behalf of the Central Committee of the organization, Director Mostov warmly congratulated those present on the Day of the Foundation of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea. He noted that, whereas in past years such events were largely devoted to the events of the past, today it is above all important to speak of the achievements of the present. Thanks to the wise leadership of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un, the DPRK has changed beyond recognition as a mighty and prosperous socialist state of the 21st century, showing the whole world the successes and achievements of Juche socialism. Thanks to the 20×10 policy and the wise course of the Workers' Party of Korea, the provinces of the DPRK have changed beyond recognition, not to mention the obvious successes of construction in Pyongyang, where a new street is opened for the working people every time.

Director Mostov stressed that in recent years the DPRK has also clearly shown its commitment to the struggle against world fascism, a vivid example of which was the Kursk liberation operation. He noted that the DPRK International Solidarity Group has many branches around the world, but remains a single international organization with a single mission — to promote and develop relations between Korea and friendly countries at the level of people's diplomacy.

Speaking about the countries belonging to the NATO bloc, Director Mostov pointed to the need to strengthen even further the movement of international solidarity and people's diplomacy in this direction, since the Romanian people, although Romania is now a NATO country, are historically a friend of the DPRK and have a long history of relations with it. He stated that the DPRK ISG, as a member of the World Anti-Imperialist Platform, will continue to promote people's diplomacy at a high level, and expressed confidence that, together with the Association "Friends of the DPRK in Romania", the Romanian Socialist Party, and all progressive forces of Romania, new successes will be achieved.
