Moscow, October 24. (DPRK IYFL Information Bureau — RSTV)
On October 9, a meeting dedicated to the 81st anniversary of the founding of the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK) and the 100th anniversary of the Down-with-Imperialism Union (DIU) was held in the hall of the Leninsky District Committee of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation in Moscow. The event was attended by leading officials of the DPRK International Youth Friendship League (DPRK IYFL), student activists from the Sergiev Posad Social-Economic Technical School, the State University for the Humanities, the University of World Civilizations, and Lomonosov Moscow State University, as well as students from China who had come to Moscow to support their Russian comrades and jointly mark the anniversary of the founding of the WPK. The meeting was opened by Comrade Alexander Mostov, Chairman of the Central Committee of the DPRK IYFL. He stressed the decisive importance of establishing new friendship clubs in Russian universities and expanding academic cooperation between the Russian Federation and the DPRK as an important link in people's diplomacy. In connection with the anniversary of the founding of the WPK, he noted the importance of the distinctive organizational style and discipline, as well as the Juche ideas on which the Workers' Party of Korea is based, for the work of the Friendship League. Comrade Mostov called on all DPRK IYFL activists to actively apply the WPK's experience in their daily work, study the Juche ideas more deeply, and introduce them into the organization's activities. He separately dwelt on the significance of the 100th anniversary of the DIU, noting the continuity of the anti-imperialist struggle and the need for young people to study its historical experience. Comrade Ivan Kozlov, First Secretary of the Central Committee for Organizational Work, outlined the main directions for improving the style and methods of the Friendship League's work, especially noting the experience of activists of the Sergiev Posad Social-Economic Technical School, who have established fruitful relations with the leadership and plan to expand the friendship club's activities to other educational institutions in the region. According to the technical school students, the growing popularity of the friendship club is connected with its participation in local civic initiatives. In particular, its activists actively assist the front — our army, which continues the struggle against Ukrainian neo-Nazism. Comrade Li Jizheng, member of the Central Committee of the DPRK IYFL and permanent representative of the organization in China, conveyed greetings from young activists of the PRC and read out a message from the President of our organization Comrade Zheng Yutong. In her message, President Zheng Yutong thanked the Central Committee and all figures of the Russian solidarity movement for strengthening the line of friendship between Russia, China, and the DPRK. She stressed that the Workers' Party of Korea and the Communist Party of China are friendly parties linked for many decades by common values and goals. Together, the Russian, Chinese, and Korean peoples are making a decisive contribution to the emergence of a new multipolar world order and are resisting the latest attempts of imperialism to preserve everything old and stagnant. The participants in the meeting discussed an organizational matter and, in particular, adopted a decision to expand the activities of the friendship club at Moscow State University by uniting activists of the Institute of Asian and African Studies and the Faculty of Journalism of MSU. Comrade Sergey Mikhailov, Second Secretary of the Central Committee for Scientific Work, told those present about the experience of holding the International Scientific Conference dedicated to the 9th Congress of the WPK at the Institute of Asian and African Studies of MSU. Work has begun on preparing the next conference, which will involve students of Russian universities, as well as teachers, the expert community, and public figures of the Russian Federation and other countries. The International Inter-University Conference dedicated to the birthday of the great leader Comrade Kim Il Sung is planned for April 2027 at the Financial University under the Government of the Russian Federation. The Second Secretary of the Central Committee outlined the main directions of the DPRK IYFL's educational work, aimed at forming among young people and all citizens of Russia and friendly countries a correct understanding of the realities of the DPRK, its role in the contemporary struggle against fascism and neo-Nazism, the development of socialist theory, and the consistent improvement of the life of Koreans on the basis of the principle "The popular masses are above all else." It is young people who are to become future diplomats and specialists in international relations and trade, and it is on the young men and women of our generation that the future of Russian-Korean friendship and the movement of solidarity with the DPRK depends. In this connection, Comrade Alexander Mostov, Chairman of the Central Committee of the DPRK IYFL, put forward a proposal to the leadership and activists of the Friendship League: as part of an in-depth study of the DPRK and its political and public life, to organize and conduct a training course on the Juche ideas. Such a course would help not only to introduce a greater number of teachers and students to the ideological and political foundations of the WPK and People's Korea, but also to enable DPRK IYFL activists themselves to sharpen their skills in agitation and work with the masses. In conclusion, by the unanimous decision of those present, a congratulatory telegram addressed to the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un was adopted.
