On April 24, the seventh anniversary of the first historic visit of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un to the Russian Federation, a delegation of the International Youth Friendship League (IYFL) made its first official visit to the DPRK Embassy in Moscow.

The event was attended by leading officials and activists of the Youth League, as well as representatives of the DPRK Embassy and a number of public organisations. The ceremonial meeting began with a flower‑laying ceremony in front of the photograph of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un. Bouquets were laid by Comrade Alexander Mostov, Chairman of the Central Committee of the IYFL, and members of the delegation.

The delegation included members of the Central Committee of the IYFL — Comrades Sergey Mikhailov (Second Secretary for International Relations and Scientific Work, Head of the primary cell at Lomonosov Moscow State University), Anna Zorich (Secretary of the Russia‑DPRK Friendship Club at the UWC), Aleksandra Mikhailova (Regional Secretary of the DPRK ISG Russian Executive Committee in the Far East, founder of the DPRK Friendship and Cultural Cooperation Club at FEFU), as well as candidate Roman Ashchyokin (Head of the DPRK Friendship Club at the State University of Management). They were accompanied by numerous activists of the Youth League.

Comrade Alexander Mostov, Chairman of the Central Committee of the IYFL, gave the activists a tour of the Embassy. He spoke in detail about the photographs capturing the history of Russian‑Korean relations during the era of the Great Leader Comrade Kim Il Sung, the Great Leader Comrade Kim Jong Il and the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un. Special attention was paid to the mighty achievements of socialist and military construction of the DPRK, reflected in the exhibition.

Then, speaking at the ceremonial meeting, Comrade Mostov noted that since the first visit of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un to Russia, the DPRK International Solidarity Group (DPRK ISG) has expanded significantly and created its youth wing – the International Youth Friendship League. He stressed that the IYFL already has a primary cell at the Far Eastern Federal University – exactly where the historic meeting of the leaders of the two countries took place seven years ago. “We are proud to continue the work of strengthening friendship between peoples, begun at the highest level,” the Chairman of the IYFL declared.
