It has been confirmed that during the night of July 10–11, individuals previously held by Turkey on political grounds returned to their home countries.

Among the released political prisoners were Comrade Alexander Mostov, Director of the 4th Administrative Department of the Central Committee of the DPRK ISG and Chairman of the IYFL; Comrade Karen Shahnikyan, member of the Central Committee of the DPRK ISG and Head of the Armenian Executive Committee of the DPRK ISG; and Comrade Darya Kadkina, member of the Central Committee of the DPRK ISG, as well as citizens of Serbia and Italy who expressed their desire to join the DPRK International Solidarity Group during their political imprisonment.

The release of the five activists of our organisation, who faced up to five years of imprisonment on a fabricated “secret” case after ten days of detention, is the fruit of the unrelenting struggle of the World Anti-Imperialist Platform, which ensured the legal protection of our comrades at the highest level.

As of July 12, Turkey is still holding some of the above-mentioned activists' valuable belongings as “material evidence,” including two state flags of the DPRK, a state flag of Russia, a red banner of international solidarity, several laptops and smartphones. The struggle to end the political persecution continues.
