On April 24, the Embassy of the DPRK in the Russian Federation hosted a photo exhibition and a ceremonial meeting dedicated to the 7th anniversary of the first historic visit of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un to Russia.

The event was attended by figures from parliament, the government, political parties and public organisations, including representatives of the Federation Council, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the party “Russian People’s Union”, the Russian Society for Friendship and Cultural Cooperation with the DPRK, and the Society for the Study of the Juche Idea. The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the DPRK to the Russian Federation and staff members of the diplomatic mission were also present.

A delegation of the leadership of the DPRK International Solidarity Group (DPRK ISG), headed by the Vice President of our organisation, Comrade Sergey Nikolayevich Baburin, laid bouquets of flowers before the photograph of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un and paid their respects with a deep bow.

On our side, the DPRK Embassy was also visited by Comrades Viktor Petrov (Honorary President of the DPRK ISG, Chairman of the Russian Society for Friendship and Cultural Cooperation with the DPRK), Alexander Mostov (Director of the 4th Administrative Department of the Central Committee of the DPRK ISG), Don Courter (Information Technology Advisor to the Central Committee of the DPRK ISG), George Galloway (outstanding British political figure), Andrey Andreyevich Romanov (curator of the Russia‑Korea Friendship Club at the University of World Civilizations), Aleksandra Mikhailova (Regional Secretary of the DPRK ISG Russian Executive Committee in the Far East of the Russian Federation), Lada Syomina (Russian Korean studies scholar), and others.

The participants of the event viewed photographic materials dedicated to the historic meetings of the leaders of the DPRK and the Russian Federation.

Speeches were made at the ceremonial meeting.
