A working meeting took place at the “Songni” (“Victory”) restaurant in Moscow between Comrade Alexander Andreyevich Mostov, Director of the 4th Administrative Department of the Central Committee of the DPRK International Solidarity Group (DPRK ISG), and Comrade Miruna Georgiana Pandele, Chairperson of the Association “Prietenii RPD Coreene în România” (“Friends of the DPRK in Romania”).

During constructive talks, the Romanian side handed over a petition addressed to Comrade Zheng Yutong, President of the DPRK International Solidarity Group. The document, expressing the unanimous will of all activists of the association, contains a proposal to include the Romanian organisation as a collective member of the DPRK ISG. In addition, the Romanian comrades ask to establish a Romanian Regional Committee within the European Executive Committee of the DPRK ISG, as well as to create an official news page for the association on the Red Star TV website.

Comrade Miruna Georgiana Pandele stressed that her organisation, guided by the principles of friendship, anti‑imperialist struggle and people’s diplomacy, is ready to make a practical contribution to the development of the international solidarity movement with the DPRK. The association undertakes to conduct active educational and solidarity work among the Romanian public, to disseminate truthful information about the DPRK and to fully comply with the decisions of the collective governing body of our organisation – the Central Committee of the DPRK ISG.

Comrade Alexander Mostov, accepting the petition, highly appreciated the Romanian friends’ desire for cooperation and confirmed that the proposals will be examined by the leadership of the Group in the near future. The meeting was held in a spirit of comradely understanding, once again confirming the steady growth of the international solidarity movement under the banner of the Juche idea.

The participants of the meeting took a commemorative photograph, pledging to make their due contribution to the restoration and development of friendly relations between Romania and Korea at the level of people’s diplomacy.
