It is worth paying attention to the realities in the DPRK, which invariably carries out all affairs for the good of the people regardless of conditions: favourable or unfavourable.

Now in the DPRK, various measures for the benefit of the people are being invariably implemented even under difficult conditions, and measures are being taken to strengthen the people's health and protect their lives. The work to improve the people's well-being is continuously carried out.

In late July 2024, some areas of North Phyongan and Jagang provinces suffered serious damage from flooding. But in the flood-affected areas, ideal “landscaped town in the countryside” and fantastic villages were built in just over four months.

Following the announcement of the construction of 50,000 flats in Pyongyang, Songhwa, Hwasong, Rimhung and Jongwi streets were built over four years, and this year, a new modern urban block in the Hwasong area was built. With the completion of the first-year task of the “20×10 policy for regional development”, modern local industrial enterprises have been built in 20 cities and counties across the country. In various villages, even remote mountain ones, dwelling houses have been built in accordance with the characteristics of their localities and provided free of charge to the workers.

These realities are unthinkable apart from the leadership of the President of the State Affairs of the DPRK, the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un, who loves the people very much, giving priority to their interests.

His policy is imbued with the spirit of “The masses of the people are above all”. His absolute criterion is to give priority to the interests and convenience of the people and make them absolute, and his goal is to realize the dreams and ideals of the people at the highest level. He put forward the slogan “Everything for the good of the people, and rely on the masses of the people in everything!”

What does the people mean to him?

In August last year, Kim Jong Un paid a congratulatory visit to a helicopter unit of the KPA Air Force, which had been immediately deployed to the flooded areas in the northwest of North Phyongan Province and performed feats in successfully rescuing more than 4,200 victims in a short time. In his inspiring speech, he noted that “the people are heaven for us”.

At the ceremonies for the commissioning of a greenhouse farm and a tree nursery located far from the capital, he said that geographically there are distant and near places, but in his heart there is no distant or near people. And he took measures to close an important military base and build a large-scale greenhouse farm so as to supply the people with various fresh vegetables all year round.

On April 15 this year, a ceremony was held for the completion of the 3rd-stage construction of 10,000 flats in the Hwasong area – a new large architectural complex of modern high-rise and multi-storey dwelling houses and commercial and public catering establishments with strong symbolism and distinctiveness.

Comrade Kim Jong Un, cutting the tape at the ceremony, met with the new occupants – working people and the elderly. Apologizing that such modern dwelling houses are being provided to them only now, he said: “seeing the citizens filled with excitement and delight, my determination to take on more work for the people is strengthened even more.” And he wished everyone to live a happy life with good health, free of diseases, in the new dwelling houses.

The flood-affected area on the northwestern outskirts of Korea has been turned into a modern landscaped town in the countryside.

In the Hwasong area of the capital Pyongyang, new large groups of architectural structures have been erected, harmoniously combining high-rise and multi-storey dwelling houses with various commercial and public catering establishments.

There is no limit to the joy of the new occupants who received flats in the new urban block in the Hwasong area (3rd stage).
