On February 16, Comrade Zheng Yutong, President of the DPRK International Solidarity Group (DPRK ISG), sent a congratulatory telegram to respected Comrade Kim Jong Un, President of the State Affairs of the DPRK, on the occasion of the 84th anniversary of the birth of the Great Leader Comrade Kim Jong Il.

To the General Secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea,
President of the State Affairs of the DPRK,
Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces of the DPRK,
Respected Comrade Kim Jong Un:

On the occasion of the 84th anniversary of the birth of the Great Leader Comrade Kim Jong Il, allow me, on behalf of the Coordination Committee of the DPRK International Solidarity Group, its regional executive committees, and hundreds of activists around the world, to extend our most sincere congratulations.

On the great path of socialist construction, Comrade Kim Jong Il, tirelessly advancing forward, led the Korean people in defending the invaluable achievements of the era of development, safeguarded the life and security of the state and its people, cared for the soldiers and citizens of Korea with paternal solicitude, and devoted himself selflessly to service without rest, thereby laying the foundation for the prosperity and development of the country.

On the great path of theoretical exploration, Comrade Kim Jong Il rightly stands as the steadfast heir and defender of the revolutionary ideas of Comrade Kim Il Sung; he preserved and developed the glorious revolutionary traditions of the Workers' Party of Korea, enriched its precious ideological and theoretical legacy, and employed it to guide the practice of the socialist revolution.

The Great Leader Comrade Kim Jong Il will remain forever in our hearts. We will cherish the memory of his immortal achievements, dedicated to the cause of his life, sincerely support respected Comrade Kim Jong Un, and together with the Korean people and all peace-loving peoples of the world, strive to defend justice and sovereignty.
