On March 14, a ceremony was held at the "Songni" ("Victory") restaurant to present a badge bearing the image of the Great Leader Comrade Kim Il Sung to Comrade Christopher Emms, a prominent figure in the international solidarity movement.

The ceremony was attended by Comrades Alexander Mostov (Director of the 4th Administrative Department of the DPRK ISG), Li Jizheng (founder of the Chinese Solidarity Group with Korea), Alexander Kiyashchenko (founder of the creative movement "JoJack"), and Rita Popova (Marxist video blogger).

In his address to those gathered, Director Mostov emphasized that Comrade Christopher Emms serves as a vivid example for the younger generation of activists. He stated that it is a great honor for the DPRK Solidarity Group to have such a steadfast and dedicated comrade in its ranks. He also recalled that in 2019, Christopher Emms had already been awarded a badge bearing the images of the Great Leaders — however, due to the political persecution he faced on the territory of Great Britain, that badge was lost.

"They say the strength of an action can be judged by the strength of the reaction... This law applies not only to physics but also to socio-political work. For many years, Christopher Emms was subjected to persecution and slander from US intelligence agencies. And he, displaying the spirit of 'one against a hundred,' stood firm. His unwavering steadfastness and loyalty to ideals command the deepest respect. In this regard, the central committee of our organization, under the leadership of President Zheng Yutong, taking into account Comrade Emms' active work in strengthening international solidarity with the DPRK and his participation in the anti-imperialist struggle of the world's progressive forces, decided to grant his request for the restoration of the badge and to present it to him once again," the Director of the Department declared.

After reading the congratulatory telegram, Comrade Mostov personally affixed the badge bearing the image of the Great Leader Comrade Kim Il Sung.

The participants of the ceremony took a commemorative photograph against the backdrop of an image of the sacred Mount Paektu and the rising sun, symbolizing the light of the coming victory.
