A working meeting took place in China between Comrade Zheng Yutong, President of the DPRK International Solidarity Group (DPRK ISG), and Comrade Christopher Helali, Head of the North American Executive Committee of our organization.

During the meeting, Comrade Zheng Yutong reviewed the activities of the North American Executive Committee in the first quarter of this year. She noted with satisfaction that the events organized by the committee's activists on the occasion of the Day of the Shining Star — the 84th anniversary of the birth of the Great Leader Comrade Kim Jong Il — constituted the largest-scale solidarity actions with the DPRK held on US territory in several years.

The President of our organization highly appraised the ideological steadfastness and organizational abilities of the comrades who, despite the complex international situation and pressure from imperialist circles, managed to conduct the commemorative events with dignity and contribute to the common cause.

During the discussion of future plans, Comrade Zheng Yutong outlined a specific program for the development of the North American Executive Committee for the current year. Special attention was paid to expanding educational activities among youth, strengthening ties with progressive forces such as the American Communist Party (ACP) and public organizations, as well as intensifying efforts to counter anti-Korea propaganda.

Comrade Zheng Yutong stressed that activities in North America hold particular strategic significance amid the growing confrontation between the forces of peace and the imperialist bloc led by the United States. She also discussed the situation in Iran.

Comrade Zheng Yutong noted that the meeting took place despite the fact that Comrade Christopher Helali had injured his leg and was experiencing difficulties in moving. The firm will he demonstrated and his desire to personally report on the work of the executive committee to the organization's leadership serve as a vivid example of dedication to its cause.

Comrade Zheng Yutong expressed deep appreciation for such a responsible approach to his duties and wished Comrade Helali a speedy recovery and a swift return to active work.

The meeting agreed to further deepen interaction between the central leadership and the North American Executive Committee, as well as to expand the exchange of experience among the regional committees of the DPRK ISG.

The participants in the meeting expressed confidence that the consistent work to strengthen international solidarity with the DPRK will continue in the future, despite any obstacles and challenges posed by hostile forces, and took a commemorative photograph.
