People's diplomacy is a term that denotes the activities of people who contribute to the improvement of relations between countries and the establishment of mutually beneficial cooperation with their political forces. After the collapse of socialism in the republics of the Soviet Union, as well as in the countries of Eastern Europe, it was the people's diplomats who wanted to defend the socialist gains who came to the forefront of the international struggle.

One of these figures is Ilya Kleymenov, a member of the Politburo of the Central Committee of the Communist Party "Communists of Russia" (CPCR) and the Coordination Committee of the DPRK ISG, now nominated as a candidate for the 8th convocation of the State Duma of the Russian Federation and a candidate for the post of governor of the Tver region.

On September 16, immediately after the pre-election live broadcast, Alexander Mostov, Сhairman of the Coordination Committee of the DPRK ISG, met with Comrade Kleymenov and specifically discussed the latest events with him. During a friendly conversation, the political situation in Russia was discussed, as well as the prospects for the development of relations between the CPCR and our quasi-party organization.

Comrade Kleymenov recalled how he first realized his international duty when speaking together with Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro at a mass demonstration. As the only delegate from Russia, he understood: since other figures do not show initiative, you need to show it and become a people's diplomat yourself.

On that day, amid the general jubilation of the rally participants, he firmly declared:

- I am one of the Russian sons of Chavez! Comandante Chavez's ideas are our ideas! Venezuela and Russia - together forever! Our common enemy will be defeated, we will win!

Many years have passed since that momentous speech, but Comrade Kleymenov, considering international solidarity and internationalism as the keys to the victory of the cause of the revolution, is consistently making a contribution to the development of people's diplomacy. Through his active participation, the CPCR has established friendly relations with the communist and workers' parties of many countries, including the DPRK, Cuba, Laos, Vietnam and Venezuela, and has also held many activities, including with the participation of our organization, in support of the struggle of the socialist countries.

The Chairman of the DPRK ISG, fully supporting the initiatives of Comrade Kleimenov, noted the importance of public diplomacy in modern political realities and expressed readiness to further develop relations with the CPCR regardless of the election results.

Comrade Mostov stressed:

- The Communist Party of Russia has always been on the side of our Group. In particular, I remember well how clearly the CPCR outlined its position during the raider seizure of the information resource of our organization and provided much-needed support.

I am sincerely glad that such initiative people as you, comrade Kleimenov, are represented in the Central Committee of our organization - in the Coordination Committee of the DPRK ISG.
