Lunar New Year's Day and Our Life

In the Democratic People's Republic of Korea the lunar New Year's Day falls on February 12 this year.



The capital citizens visit the bronze statues of the great leaders Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il, the eternal images of socialist Korea and tenderhearted fathers of the people, early in the morning to present them with bouquets.

Unique national emotion and fragrance are felt in the streets, public service amenities and families.



People visit their teachers, seniors, relatives and friends to spend a pleasant time, wishing one another "A Happy Lunar New Year's Day".
