Kim Jong Un, chairman of the Workers' Party of Korea, Monday sent a congratulatory message to Raul Castro Ruz, first secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba.

The message extended the warm comradely greetings to Raul Castro Ruz with the best wishes for his health on his 88th birthday.

It expressed the sincere pleasure over the great victory won by the fraternal Cuban people in their efforts to defend the cause of socialism and implement the decision of the Seventh Congress of the Cuban party while resolutely smashing all sorts of challenges and moves of the hostile forces under the leadership of the Communist Party of Cuba headed by Raul Castro Ruz.

It expressed the belief that the traditional relations of friendship and cooperation between the two parties and two countries provided by the preceding leaders of the two countries would be carried forward and developed with more vigor in the future.

Wishing for greater successes in his responsible work for leading the Communist Party and people of Cuba, it reiterated sincere wish for his good health.
