The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un, General Secretary of the Workers’ Party of Korea and President of the State Affairs of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, paid a congratulatory visit to a combined unit under the Western District Mechanized Infantry Division of the Korean People’s Army on April 25, on the occasion of the founding day of the Korean People’s Revolutionary Army, and encouraged its officers and men.

When Comrade Kim Jong Un arrived at the command post of the combined unit, all the officers and men raised thunderous cheers of “Hurrah!” in highest reverence, looking up to the iron‑willed commander who is opening a new era of a powerful nation with the strongest military power firmly guaranteeing the Juche revolutionary cause pioneered by arms and its vigorous advance.

Comrade Kim Jong Un was greeted on the spot by Comrade No Kwang Chol, Minister of National Defence of the DPRK, along with commanding officers of the Ministry of National Defence and military and political commanding officers of the Western District Mechanized Infantry Division and its subordinate combined unit of the Korean People’s Army.

Shooting Competition Held among Mortar Gunners under Large Combined Units of Various Levels on the Occasion of the Meaningful April 25 Holiday

On April 25, on the occasion of the 94th anniversary of the founding of the Korean People’s Revolutionary Army, a shooting competition among mortar gunners of light infantry units under large combined units of various levels of the Korean People’s Army took place.

The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un, General Secretary of the Workers’ Party of Korea and President of the State Affairs of the DPRK, watched the competition.

Present there were Comrade No Kwang Chol, Minister of National Defence of the DPRK; Comrade Ri Yong Gil, Chief of the General Staff of the Korean People’s Army; Comrade Kim Song Gi, Director of the General Political Bureau of the Korean People’s Army; and commanding officers of the Ministry of National Defence and military and political commanding officers of the large combined units of the Korean People’s Army.

The shooting competition was conducted in the way of evaluating the combat method of sub‑units rapidly overcoming natural and artificial obstacle lines according to the set tactical tasks, maneuvering to destroy various targets within a given time, and then withdrawing from concealment.

The competition powerfully demonstrated the high combat effectiveness and might of the mortar use by the assault troops of light infantry units at all levels and their thorough readiness for an imminent war.

The Korean People’s Army 2nd Corps took second place, the 91st Corps third, the 1st Corps fourth, the 4th Corps fifth, and the 5th Corps sixth.

Comrade Kim Jong Un said that combat training should be organized and conducted with a focus on fully embodying all requirements of our Party’s military strategic thought and Juche warfare to thoroughly build up combat capability to completely annihilate the enemy, and gave specific teachings on more intensively and competitively developing training contests by various unit levels and specialized soldier sub‑units across the entire army.

April 25 Has Historical Significance in Our Revolutionary Armed Forces Construction

Our people are significantly greeting the 94th anniversary of the founding of the Korean People’s Revolutionary Army.

The Great Leader Comrade Kim Il Sung clarified the line that victory can be achieved only by fighting armed enemies with arms, and on the basis of laying political and military foundations for forming a revolutionary armed force, founded the Korean People’s Revolutionary Army on April 25, 1932.

The founding of the Korean People’s Revolutionary Army was a historic event that opened a new era of the Juche revolution relying on a powerful revolutionary armed force. The significance of this event lies not only in that the people, who had been forced into a miserable fate in the vortex of history, came to have their own true army and the hope for independence. Completion of Major Repair and New Construction of Irrigation Structures for Taechon No. 5 Power Station, Unjon, Jongju, Kwaksan Waterways and Several Tideland Waterways

The Waterway Construction Division completed the major repair of structures for the Taechon No. 5 Power Station‑Unjon, Jongju, Kwaksan waterways and the construction of waterway structures for the Sokhwa, Aedo, Ilhae tidelands.

This project was part of the irrigation system rehabilitation and restoration undertaking that required handling over 60,000 cubic meters of earthwork, placing over 7,400 cubic meters of concrete, and laying thousands of square meters of masonry to repair and build nearly a hundred irrigation structures.

With the completion of the project, the water‑passing capacity increased, providing a guarantee for fully supplying irrigation water to more than 10,000 hectares of paddy and non‑paddy fields in several cities and counties of North Phyongan Province and the tidelands scheduled for reclamation.

Youth League Officials and Youth Students in North Hwanghae Province Successively Tour Revolutionary Battle Sites

On the occasion of the 94th anniversary of the founding of the Korean People’s Revolutionary Army, many youth league officials and youth students in North Hwanghae Province toured the Jongbangsan Revolutionary Battle Site and other sites.

The visitors reflected on the brilliant exploits of the Great Leader Comrade Kim Il Sung who founded the Korean People’s Revolutionary Army, the first revolutionary armed force of the Juche type, and organized and led the anti‑Japanese war to victory.
