The full text follows: A Miracle to Be Specially Recorded in the History of the Anti-Imperialist Struggle Highly Praised by the International Community The rings of the 73rd anniversary have been carved since that day of joy when the shouts of victory of the honoured defenders of the fatherland shook this land. The great victory of July 27 was an event to be specially recorded in the long history of humankind. Our newly-established state won a brilliant victory in a fierce and bitter three-year showdown of strength against the imperialist allied forces. It was an amazing miracle that safeguarded the dignity and destiny of our state and defended world peace and security, and at the same time, it was the prelude to a new history that gave birth to a new law of strength—that even a small country can fully defeat a strong imperialist enemy. What is the source of this miraculous event that overturned the war theory of weapon omnipotence and astonished the whole world? We find the answer in the voices of praise from the international community that ring out higher as time passes. Iron-Willed Brilliant Commander of One Hundred Victories, a Gifted Military Strategist Countless wars, large and small, are recorded in human history. However, there is no known example of a people who had just emerged from the status of colonial slaves defeating by their own strength a strong imperialist enemy boasting of being the world's “strongest”. The proud great victory our people achieved in the 1950s was a brilliant fruition of the wise leadership of the Great Leader Comrade Kim Il Sung, the iron-willed brilliant commander, the outstanding military strategist and the peerless great man. The wise leadership and paternal love of the Great Leader, who brightly illuminated the path of one hundred victories with Juche-oriented military ideas and original strategies and tactics, and who visited the fighters on the heights and the people in the rear again and again, giving them invincible strength and courage, were the source that created military miracles and heroic feats unprecedented in history. Therefore, in the hearts of the progressive humankind who recollect with deep emotion the history of the great victory, the boundless admiration for the fatherly Leader, who was gifted with extraordinary military wisdom, great courage and boldness, and the art of command of one hundred victories, and led the Fatherland Liberation War to victory, is growing fervently. A personage from Europe, in an article titled “Peerless Military Strategist” posted on an internet homepage, said that the miraculous victory that newly-founded Korea achieved in the fierce war against the imperialists who possessed the world's mightiest military and economic power and a long history of aggression is a brilliant fruition of the outstanding military strategies and tactics of President Kim Il Sung, and that the President, having created original military tactics, adorned the shining pages of modern war history, and continued as follows: “Gomes, a former president of Portugal who served as the chief of staff of the Portuguese army stationed in Macao during the Korean War, said, ‘The operation plan at that time was made after dozens of Western generals gathered several times and discussed it. Yet General Kim Il Sung smashed it single-handedly. Having seen this with my own eyes, I came to know that General Kim Il Sung is truly the only gifted military strategist and great commander in this world.’ The immortal victory exploits of President Kim Il Sung as a great military strategist and the heroic spirit of self-sacrifice of the Korean soldiers and people who were firmly united around Him will shine forever.” The Chairman of the Communist Party of Nepal (Unified Socialist) affirmed: “That the newly-founded Democratic People's Republic of Korea was able to safeguard its sovereignty and dignity and defend the environment for the independent development of the country against the imperialist allied forces was entirely because there was the peerless great man Comrade Kim Il Sung, whom even the politicians of the hostile countries acknowledge. The victory of the Korean people is a victory of the defenders over the aggressors, a victory of justice and progress over injustice and reaction, and a victory in human history that clearly proved the truth that no matter how strong the aggressive forces are, they cannot match the strength of the people united single-heartedly around an outstanding leader.” The Chairman of the Blagoveshchensk Kimilsungism-Kimjongilism Study Association of Russia also stressed that the indiscriminate bombings and murderous atrocities of the US imperialists could not break the will of the Korean people, united firmly around the Leader, to defend the foundation of their lives to the death, and that the victory exploits of Comrade Kim Il Sung, who shattered the myth of US imperialist “mightiness” for the first time in history, will shine forever in human history. “The iron-willed brilliant commander of one hundred victories”, “a gifted military strategist”, “the supreme commander of the anti-imperialist front in the 20th century”… As the progressive humankind unanimously admires, truly our Leader is the great master of military affairs and the heaven-sent brilliant commander who represented the 20th century, who brought about the great victory in the Fatherland Liberation War, saved the destiny of the people and humankind, and created a world-historic example of the anti-imperialist struggle. Defeated the Theory of Weapon Omnipotence with Politico-Ideological Might A military expert of a certain country commented on the Korean War as follows: “The armed forces of Korea unfolded a truly surprising reality before the world. It was a result so surprising that those viewing from the existing concepts and standards of war might think it was a coincidence. However, as a military expert, I do not admit coincidence in war under any circumstances. Coincidence may exist in other phenomena, but in war, which is both a showdown of strength and a showdown of spiritual strength, there can be no coincidence, only inevitability.” Then what is the historical inevitability underlying Korea's miraculous great victory that he referred to? Our people and the service personnel of the People's Army, who possessed the thoroughgoing spirit of independence and ardent love for their own things, displayed immortal bravery on every battlefield, mercilessly shattered the aggressor forces that boasted they had never known defeat, and won only victory. The great July 27 clearly engraved in the world war history that the supreme strength of a country is the strength of the people armed with strong spiritual strength, and that this strength can never be broken by any military and technological superiority. That is why during the past Korean War, a Western journalist wrote in his article that the matchless spirit of self-sacrifice and heroism displayed by the soldiers of the People's Army on every battlefield was truly amazing, and that to realize the truth that human spiritual strength is more powerful than any military and technological means, one must go to the Korean battlefield. Regarding the indomitable spiritual strength of the heroic people, a Pakistani media praised that President Kim Il Sung achieved a great victory with his original military ideas and the politico-ideological superiority of the soldiers and people, that it was the President's firm view that no amount of war supplies or highly modernized military equipment can substitute for the role of the soldiers and people, the main agents of the war, and that President Kim Il Sung firmly ensured the guarantee of war victory by uniting the soldiers and people as one and strengthening the politico-military position of the country in every way. Our people have recorded only successive victories in the long confrontation without gunfire against the imperialists for more than 70 years. Under the outstanding leadership of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un, our state today has amassed absolute strength that can annihilate any aggressive force at a single blow and is demonstrating its might as a defender of regional and world peace. Witnessing this brilliant reality, the progressive humankind of the world expresses their excited feelings, saying, “Korea's July 27 is eternal.”, “Korea will shine in the world as a powerful country of one hundred victories.” The Chairman of the National Committee of Nigeria for the Study of Kim Il Sung-Kim Jong Ilism asserted that Korea defeated the United States that boasted of being the world's “strongest”, that under the leadership of President Kim Il Sung, Leader Kim Jong Il and His Excellency Kim Jong Un, Korea has turned into an invincible country, and that we must learn many things from the reality of Korea, which is strong in national power. The General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Socialist People's Party of Mexico said that the Korean War was a war that made the world clearly know Korea's heroism, a war that clearly engraved in history as an iron truth that only crushing defeat will fall to those who touch Korea's sovereignty, and continued as follows: “Under the leadership of the great President Kim Il Sung, the Korean people rose up with the will to defend the fatherland, inflicted a shameful defeat on the aggressors, and showed the mettle of the Koreans who always win if they fight. Korea's tradition of victory, created by President Kim Il Sung and carried forward by Leader Kim Jong Il, is shining further as a powerful ideological and spiritual weapon of the Korean revolution under the respected His Excellency Kim Jong Un.” The Academic Secretary of the Russian Association for the Study of the Juche Idea expressed the firm conviction that the historic victory in the Fatherland Liberation War is not only a victory of the Korean people but also a victory of the world progressive peoples, and that Korea's tradition of victory in the anti-US showdown will be eternal under the peerless great man, Leader Kim Jong Un. As Korea had the great commanders from generation to generation, Korea will brilliantly carry forward the proud tradition of great victory for a hundred, a thousand years. Staff Reporter Un Jong Chol Synonyms of Shameful Defeat The Defeated Generals The US army generals, who had been swaggering, became disgraced as defeated generals in the Korean War. Dean, commander of the US 24th Infantry Division, was captured by a soldier of the Korean People's Army, shocking the White House. Five-star General MacArthur, who was said to have achieved only military feats by roaming around the battlefields of aggressive wars for over 50 years, was held responsible for the successive defeats and fell from power in just 10 months after the outbreak of the Korean War. The Shattered Myth of “Mightiness” The US imperialists, who boasted of their “mightiness”, fell into the ever-changing tactics of the Korean People's Army and suffered repeated crushing defeats throughout the entire period of the war. Did they not shoot down planes with outdated sniper means, and did not the raiding teams that infiltrated in various forms destroy tanks and armoured vehicles and set fire to rear oil depots? Therefore, nowhere along the path of the ‘UN forces’ was without danger…” (A Western military commentator) “It is difficult to imagine repulsing the wave-like attacks of the ‘UN forces’ that numbered several times, nay, scores of times a day, amid the height being turned into a sea of fire and shells raining like hail. Though it is said that the Pearl Harbor raid made a miraculous breakthrough in world war history, in terms of fierceness, the battle of Korea's Height 1211 must be said to be more miraculous.
