The youth across the country, who splendidly celebrated July 27, the victory holiday of our fatherland, as a grand all-people holiday that will be specially recorded in the annals, are filled with the enthusiasm to steadily carry forward the history of great victories of Juche Korea as an eternal history of one hundred victories.

Amid the thoroughgoing spirit and fervent patriotic will of the new generations to firmly safeguard and glorify our ideology and system and the precious fatherland that the first generation of the Republic defended with their blood, being further sublimated along with the victorious July, a rally of resolve of the youth vanguard to carry forward the soul of the victorious generation took place before the Cemetery of the Fallen Fighters of the Fatherland Liberation War on the 28th.

Present at the rally were Comrade Ju Chang Il, Secretary of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea; Comrade Kim Su Gil, Chief Secretary of the Pyongyang City Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea; war veterans; youth league officials; commanders and members of the Speed Campaign Youth Shock Brigade Management Bureau and the August 28 Youth Shock Brigade Management Bureau; students of Mangyongdae Revolutionary School and Chilgol Revolutionary School; and youth and students in Pyongyang.

At the rally, Comrade Paek Un Chol, Chairman of the Central Committee of the Socialist Patriotic Youth League, made a report.

The reporter mentioned that the July 27 of great victory, engraved in gold letters in the annals of the fatherland, is a historic holiday that defeated the arrogant and reckless aggressors, safeguarded the sacred dignity and sovereignty of the fatherland, and provided our new generations with a precious ideological and spiritual asset that they must firmly inherit.

He stressed that the heroic feats and fighting spirit of the victorious generation displayed during the three years of the fierce and bitter war, the days when they defended the fatherland at the cost of their lives and built socialism from ruins, are serving as the nourishment for the revolutionary growth of our youth and an excellent textbook of life and struggle.

He mentioned that our youth, the descendants of the victorious country, are opening the new era of the fatherland's prosperity at the vanguard by highly displaying their fervent revolutionary mettle and patriotic devotion on every front of creation and transformation unprecedented in the history of national development.

The reporter ardently called upon all to boldly struggle for the undying glory of the victorious country and for the ever-bright future of the beloved motherland, saying that our youth will advance more vigorously on the march of patriotic loyalty with genuine succession and innovation under the leadership of the Workers' Party of Korea.

Then, war veteran Comrade Ri Tae Jin handed the national flag of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea to the youth, entrusting the rising new generations to faithfully uphold the leadership of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un and firmly carry forward the tradition of victory of heroic Korea.

The youth vanguard, overflowing with the enthusiasm to inherit the spiritual baton of the victorious generation, glorify the centennial plan of our state with continuous victories, and resolutely defend the precious fatherland, held aloft the sacred flag of the Republic.

At the rally, a resolution containing the will of the youth vanguard to advance vigorously for the Party and the fatherland, for the victory of our cause, was read out.

All participants pledged their solemn resolve to firmly inherit the revolutionary spirit cherished by the defenders of the fatherland in the 1950s, fully display the wisdom and bravery of the Korean youth, and surely build up a prosperous and thriving socialist power on this land under the leadership of the Party Central Committee.

Resounding at the foot of Sokbaksan were the vigorous songs sung by the fervent youth, filled with the spirit to fully display the mettle and majesty of the Korean youth on every front of high tide seething with the struggle for comprehensive national rejuvenation, carrying the honour and pride of being the descendants of the victorious generation.

Amid the melody of the song “Tribute to the Victors of the Great Era”, the march of succession of the youth vanguard to carry forward the soul of the victorious generation began, led by the national flag of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea.

The portraits of the true loyalists and the gallant warriors of the war years, who glorified their lives with pure loyalty to the Leader and unyielding patriotic devotion and live forever in the memory of the fatherland and the people, were clearly seen in the front ranks of the marching column.

The march participants, firmly gripping torch sticks in their hands, strode through the streets of the capital, once again engraving in their hearts the noble spiritual world of the victorious generation that honourably defended the sovereignty and territory of the Republic with precious sacrifice and undying feats.

From every rank advancing, loudly shouting slogans such as “Let us inherit the soul of the victorious generation!” and “Let us steadfastly carry forward the spirit of defending the fatherland and safeguarding the revolution of the 1950s!”, the aspiration and desire to glorify the indomitable history of resistance created by the forebears with a new epic of victory erupted vigorously.

The eternal march song of succession and the march songs of the era resounded in the sky of the capital, redoubling the soaring spirit to fully overcome the revolutionary faith and spirit cherished by the victorious generation and to take the lead in opening the era of comprehensive prosperity of national rejuvenation.

Watching the torchlight ranks advancing imposingly, inscribing the words “Victory Goes Down through Generations”, the citizens more deeply harboured the conviction that the Juche revolutionary cause will triumph endlessly because there is a large unit of successors who steadfastly carry forward the soul and spirit of the victorious generation.

With the will to firmly safeguard and forever glorify this land that the forebears defended and built up, the march participants strode vigorously, united in heart and step.

The rally of resolve and the march of succession of the youth vanguard clearly demonstrated the revolutionary mettle and passion of the succeeding generation who will forever glorify the proud history and tradition of our revolution that has achieved victory through centuries and generations, and who will steadily write an undying heroic epic of Juche Korea under the leadership of the respected father Marshal Kim Jong Un.
