On April 15, preliminary talks took place between Sergey Nikolayevich Baburin, President of the International Association of Peace Foundations (IAPF), and Kim Hye Young, Head of the International Commission of the People's Democracy Party (PDP).

The participants agreed to sign a cooperation agreement in the near future and also discussed in detail the complex international situation.

During the discussion, it was noted that after the impeachment of Yoon Suk Yeol, the regime in the Republic of Korea has not changed in essence. The “new authorities” of the Republic of Korea continue to trample on the democratic rights of activists who advocate the withdrawal of the US military from the continent, oppose support for Ukraine and the incitement of wars in the Asia-Pacific region.

The positive role of the World Anti‑Imperialist Platform as a force uniting the progressive people of the world was also emphasised.

The IAPF and the PDP agreed on specific measures of mutual support in this regard.
