Comrade Pak Thae Song, Member of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea and Premier of the Cabinet of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, made a field survey of the Kim Jong Tae Electric Locomotive Complex and the Posan Iron Works.

Visiting the Kim Jong Tae Electric Locomotive Complex, the Premier, upholding the decisions of the 9th Congress of the Party, encouraged the working class here who are achieving innovative successes in the execution of the important policy tasks assigned to the complex.

The Premier concretely learned about the actual state of production of various vehicles, the progress of the modernization of the plating process, the operational stability of the newly made trams and the quality of their furnishings, and said that the officials and the working class should be well aware of the creative height required by the new era, further raise the qualitative level of vehicle production, and splendidly build the plating workshop into a comprehensive and modern plating base.

At the Posan Iron Works, Comrade Pak Thae Song mentioned that the officials and the working class should, in keeping with the daily growing demand for iron and steel materials, direct efforts to the management of equipment and technology, increase the number of operating days of the rotary furnaces, and unconditionally attain the production targets assigned to the unit.

At the consultative meetings held on the spot, the problems of the relevant sectors and units ensuring the timely and qualitative production of equipment and materials needed for the modernization of the plating process and the production of vehicles at the Kim Jong Tae Electric Locomotive Complex, and the problems of improving the treatment of technicians and skilled workers and the rear services for the employees at the iron works, were discussed and measures were taken.
