Amid the boundless trust of all the people of the country in the Workers' Party of Korea, which guides the Juche revolutionary cause pioneered on Mt. Paektu along the shining path of victory, staunchly strengthens the mightiness of our state and boldly opens the new era of comprehensive national development and a new turn in building a powerful country, surging ever more fervently across the rivers and mountains of the fatherland in October, the National Defence Revolutionary Museum of the Second Economic Committee of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea was opened on the occasion of the glorious 81st founding anniversary of our Party.

The National Defence Revolutionary Museum, in which are comprehensively compiled the sacred history of our Party's leadership over national defence industry—woven with staunch independent conviction and resolve, painstaking heart and soul and burning devotion while firmly shouldering the destiny of the fatherland and the people—and the great creations born of it, is a grand national treasure house of lasting significance that displays the strong spirit and thoroughgoing revolutionary will of the Korean people and the absolute strength possessed by our state.

The opening ceremony of the National Defence Revolutionary Museum was splendidly held on October 11.

The ceremony venue overflowed with burning admiration for Comrade Kim Jong Un, who has opened the highest heyday of the military power of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea with his outstanding military strategic ideas, extraordinary leadership, great devotion and tenacious practical executive power.

The Central Military Band of the Ministry of National Defence presented a distinctive and spirited military band ceremony.

All the participants respectfully paid the highest reverence and boundless glory to Comrade Kim Jong Un, the symbol of the mightiness and heroism of our great Party, state and people, and the representative of our sacred dignity and shining honour.

Members of the Party Central leadership organs including secretaries of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, leading officials of the national defence industry sector, commanders of the Ministry of National Defence, service commanders, commanders of major large combined units, builders, and officials and employees of the National Defence Revolutionary Museum took part in the opening ceremony.

The national anthem of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea was solemnly played.

The participants watched a video compilation of the armaments and equipment recently deployed to our army.

In commemoration of the opening of the National Defence Revolutionary Museum, Comrade Kim Jong Sik, Member of the Central Military Commission of the Workers' Party of Korea and First Deputy Department Director of the Party Central Committee, delivered a speech.

He said that the National Defence Revolutionary Museum is a proud summing-up of the long and glorious history of development our munitions industry has engraved under the leadership of the Party, and an epitome displaying the height, appearance and capability of our state's defence power, and stated that the building of the museum, which represents and symbolizes the exploits of the Party achieved before the today and tomorrow of the fatherland, becomes the finest praise of the times and the people for that profound historic course.

The speaker said with great emotion that the Party's strategic programme for national defence development and the tasks for its realization were in fact a veritable revolution equivalent to newly creating our national defence science and technology and munitions industry once again, and that it was our Comrade Kim Jong Un who initiated and personally guided this gigantic revolution unprecedented in the history of world national defence construction.

He said that the National Defence Revolutionary Museum is the aggregate of Comrade Kim Jong Un's great patriotic spirit, line of national defence construction and extraordinary leadership, and the greatest glory of our Party's 80-odd-year history, and that this museum clearly draws the roadmap of the path we will walk and once again confirms the source of the confidence we possess.

Recollecting with deep emotion the countless stories engraved on the sacred history of the Juche-oriented national defence industry, which was pioneered and has advanced triumphantly together with the founding of our Party, and on the arduous path of pioneering and first steps for national defence modernization, Comrade Kim Jong Un said that the National Defence Revolutionary Museum is an immortal repository of documents and a national treasure among national treasures that shows in a concentrated and intuitive way how the dignity and security of our state and the happiness of the people have been defended and how peace on this land has been secured.

Comrade Kim Jong Un proudly affirmed that a revolutionary treasure like the National Defence Revolutionary Museum is a great historic relic that only the Workers' Party of Korea, which has walked without a moment's pause along the honourable and glorious path before the fatherland and posterity, can possess, and a precious monument that only a mighty state and people possessing absolute strength capable of defending themselves can erect.

Comrade Kim Jong Un said that the height our national defence industry has reached today is the summit of glory and honour won by the spirit and strength of Korea and the wisdom of the Korean people, and a precious victory brought about by the strength and patriotic loyalty of our people who have supported without condition our Party's original line of self-defence and national defence development policy without yielding even before severe trials and difficulties.

Comrade Kim Jong Un said that for our Party, born with the absolute mission of taking full responsibility for the destiny of the people, building the world's strongest national defence industry is a natural calling and a peculiar mode of activity, and affirmed that the powerful Juche-type weapons that serve as stepping stones for the leap-forward rise of our national prestige will be developed and completed even more steadily through a course of unrivaled development and evolution, and that the scale and content of the museum will be expanded and enriched day by day.

Comrade Kim Jong Un expressed his conviction that the officials and lecturers of the National Defence Revolutionary Museum would deeply cherish the extraordinary pride and honour of defending our Party's revolutionary historical view and would fulfil their responsibility and duty as red propagandists and ideological guardsmen of the Workers' Party of Korea who hand down the history of our state's self-defensive national defence construction for all ages.

The visitors deeply engraved in their hearts the iron truth that we will forever win because the guiding Workers' Party of Korea leads the Korean revolution, and the vitality of our Party's line of self-defence.

The members of the Party Central leadership organs hardened their firm will to faithfully uphold with single-hearted loyalty the revolutionary leadership of Comrade Kim Jong Un, who puts self-defensive national defence as the fundamental foundation of sovereignty defence, national interest protection and revolutionary development, leads the historic struggle for the realization of the cause of national prosperity and military strength at the very forefront, and powerfully displays the dignity and greatness of our Party, state and people.
