The outstanding leadership of the ever-victorious Workers' Party of Korea (WPK), which guides the sacred historic cause of national prosperity and strength toward great victory and unremitting heyday, is majestically unfolding an era of radical national defence development and the highest heyday of the Republic's military power, proudly raising the absolute strength of our state and people to the summit of the world.

Inscribing yet another noteworthy page in the course of the struggle to ceaselessly modernize the modernity and military-technical might of the armed forces of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK), the exhibition "Unmanned Aeronautical Technology Development-2026" was held grandly on October 29.

Displayed at the exhibition hall were combat systems showing the latest achievements and development prospects in the field of unmanned aeronautical technology, including strategic and operational-tactical multi-purpose unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) of various types and suicide unmanned attack drones.

The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un, General Secretary of the WPK and president of the State Affairs of the DPRK, attended the exhibition event.

Leading officials of the munitions industry sector and the Ministry of National Defence (MND) courteously greeted Comrade Kim Jong Un.

All the participants paid the highest tribute of reverence to the ever-victorious iron-willed commander, who has illumined the clear path of the building of modernized armed forces through his extraordinary military strategic thought, far-sighted foresight and energetic leadership, and who ceaselessly guides the military-technical might of our army to the highest level.

Taking part in the exhibition were members of the Party Central leadership organs including the secretaries of the Central Committee (CC) of the WPK, leading officials of the Party CC, Party responsibility officials of the Cabinet, commissions and ministry organs, scientists, technicians and meritorious persons of the munitions industry sector, commanders of the service branches and corps of the MND and the Korean People's Army (KPA), division and brigade commanders of the entire army, and teachers and researchers of military education and scientific research institutions of various levels and major universities.

The national anthem of the DPRK was solemnly played.

Comrade Jo Chun Ryong, member of the Political Bureau of the WPK CC and secretary of the Party CC, made a commemorative speech.

He said that this exhibition is a collective embodiment of the achievements recently made in accordance with the Party Central's policy on developing our-style unmanned combat systems that are unmanned and intelligent, and he introduced various UAVs newly developed in the unmanned aviation industry sector.

Comrade Kim Jong Un mentioned the significance of this exhibition, which makes it possible to intuitively see the potential for development in the field of unmanned aeronautical technology, an important component of the state's military strength, and expressed great satisfaction.

Comrade Kim Jong Un said that aiming at absolute dominance in the field of UAVs is an indispensable choice according with the changing aspects of modern warfare, and he announced our Party's national defence development strategy for the rapid expansion and strengthening of unmanned aeronautical technological power and major state measures for its realization.

Comrade Kim Jong Un stressed: "Peace and strength are in an inseparable relationship; the price of peace cannot be measured in numbers, and therefore peace is what even a rich country cannot preserve with money; strength is precisely peace, and peace is guaranteed only by strength; this is the common sense needed to survive in today's busy world; just as we have occupied the function of a nuclear-weapon state and are achieving leap-forward renewal in strengthening conventional armed forces, the country's scientific circles must rise up with all their might and produce miraculous results in the field of unmanned aeronautical technology and the field of national defence artificial intelligence (AI)."

The leading officials of the Party, the government and national defence organs and the entire educational and scientific circles, having been presented with the historic grand programme for national defence development set forth by Comrade Kim Jong Un, expressed ardent support and resolved with firm determination to faithfully uphold with practical results the Party Central's plan and determination to firmly safeguard with absolute strength the safety and well-being of the country and the people, independent dignity and the environment for development.

Comrade Kim Jong Un, looking at the unmanned combat systems on display, once again stressed the importance and military significance of the development of unmanned aeronautical technology in making our armed forces leap into a cutting-edge, elite army corresponding to modern warfare.

Comrade Kim Jong Un said that, in keeping with the actual development trend in which unmanned armed equipment is emerging as the main military activity asset of war and its scope of use is ever more expanding day by day, the work of steadily grasping as the top priority task in the building of modernized armed forces the refinement of core technology in this field and the AI and operational capability refinement of unmanned armed equipment systems must be continued.

Comrade Kim Jong Un stressed that in the national defence scientific research sector they must continue to accelerate the major change in the strengthening of military power through the might of our DPRK armed forces and the sustained and unique progress of the self-reliant defence industry that staunchly supports it, and must powerfully carry out the work of ceaselessly enhancing its strategic position and role thoroughly in our own style and with the level capable of overwhelming the world as the goal.

Directly experiencing the wondrous development of our national defence science, the participants visited the exhibition hall with pride and self-confidence.

There followed a demonstration of the might of various UAVs and major weapons systems in commemoration of the exhibition "Unmanned Aeronautical Technology Development-2026".

In the demonstration of might, firing by various tactical suicide unmanned attack drones and tactical cruise missiles, an air raid by multi-purpose UAVs, and firing by a battalion of 600 mm multiple rocket launchers (MRLs) took place.

Air-to-ground missiles and cruise missiles launched from the tactical suicide unmanned attack drones and multi-purpose UAVs precisely struck island targets with 100 percent accuracy.

That day the combat firing of the ultra-precise 600 mm large-calibre rocket artillery, called the "sniper", was for the first time directly made public before the crowd.

All the participants, witnessing the enormous might of the major core strategic weapons systems of the DPRK, unique in the world, expressed their sense of pride with enthusiastic applause.

The combat reliability and effectiveness of all the major weapons systems were satisfactorily verified.

Comrade Kim Jong Un once again expressed the unwavering and immutable will of the WPK and the government of the Republic to more staunchly consolidate the most powerful and just war-deterrence force and firmly safeguard the well-being of the country, the peaceful life of the people and the environment for socialist development.

The exhibition "Unmanned Aeronautical Technology Development-2026" will more powerfully encourage and propel the development of the national defence power of the country that has set the building of the world's strongest army as its goal and will instil greater confidence and courage in all the people of the country who are devoting themselves to the historic struggle for carrying through the decisions of the Ninth Congress of the WPK.
