Kim Yo Jong, Department Director of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, issued the following statement on the 2nd.

The enemy is, after all, the enemy.

This is the weighty conclusion we are once again drawing from Seoul's latest self-staged farce.

This time Seoul has cleanly and without reserve laid bare its vicious true colours in seeking to plunge the situation on the Korean Peninsula once again into a grave state for the sake of its own selfish purposes.

It hastily drew the absurd conclusion that the mine explosion incident in the area of the boundary line was caused by someone's "secret and deliberate laying of mines", and went so far as to publish a so-called "official position paper" that is utterly clumsy.

It even went on about some kind of "apology".

They are utterly pitiful.

It is worth thinking about this rationally for a moment.

Why do they imagine that we would have any business entangling ourselves with the ROK?

They need to know precisely what our true intention is in fortifying the boundary line.

To put it simply and clearly: our purpose is to shut the door forever so that we will have no occasion to face the ROK, and so that not even wild beasts can come and go.

Frankly speaking, we get goosebumps merely at being conscious of that tribe called the ROK.

Are they not the kind of tribe that, even at the sight of a flock of birds, clamours about "drones from the north"?

To cut off forever the ill-fated ties with a tribe with whom standing face to face brings nothing but headaches—this is our greatest wish.

We will not permit even the slightest space or room for entanglement or dealings with the ROK in any form.

The very parties who committed an accident riddled with suspicion and beyond common sense, finding themselves in a position where even making excuses is difficult and awkward, appear to have once again revived their habitual habit of picking quarrels.

Truly, this is now tedious, dreadful and tiresome.

We are once again witnessing something truly absurd.

Seoul must no longer rack its petty brains, and must immediately put away its futile scheming to damage the image of our state.

Among the expressions the ROK tribe always uses towards us, the word "provocation" is the one they pick most often; I wonder whether they even properly understand what "provocation" means before using it.

By common sense, what is called "provocation" refers to acts like their shifting responsibility onto others when pressed, as now, or the drone provocation incident that the Yoon Suk Yeol gang and the present ruling authorities recently perpetrated against us.

Another sight worth seeing: while the underlings, like tiny fish, are wholly absorbed in picking groundless quarrels, announcing investigation results and official position papers, the man called the president turned up at some commemorative ceremony and declared a "will" to consistently take practical measures to lower military tension.

Truly a climactic scene of a farce too good to keep to oneself.

It seems the second act of the self-staged farce has raised its curtain.

It seems they intend to portray the world as chaotic and then take on the role of the righteous protagonist.

I do not know who the lead and who the bit parts are, but in any case I hope they draw a great deal of popularity with their performance in the "righteous role".

Those who have put effort into writing, directing and acting in the farce should rightly be awarded a costly "commendation".
